Still not sure if he is getting any insulin. I may try a longer needle. I have heard that some people use a ½ needle.

I've tried the long needles before but felt like I was wielding a harpoon and did more in and out the other side shots than I was fur shots. That was when we switch to Lev and shot time became a breeze.

Honestly Ahska's numbers look a lot like Autumn's on Lantus where she would bounce up then hang up there and like you I never knew if it was a fur shot or just the insulin not working for her.

I am so scratching my head on this. I am even questioning whether the pen is bad. :-x

I guess I will just try dose increases until I can switch to Levemir. I still have the current pen and one more of the Lantus to go through.
