Goooood morning! ~O) ~O) ~O)

So Poop finally decides to come down to a high yellow. What a yucky PM cycle. ohmygod_smile Am somewhat prepared for him to bottom out today, or at least clear what I think was a bounce from the night before.

Last night the kitties hoovered their first can of food within an hour and Poop was begging for more...not normal...so at PM +1.75 I gave in, tested and opened another can. They ate 3/4 of the can by +3.5. Hungry little buggers. At +3.5 the well turns to another can and they only ate about 1/2 of it so they really only had about 1/4 a can extra last night.

Poop did the same "I'm starving" routine the morning of the second...when he had the high AMPS. Will have to watch if that's a norm for him (wanting more food when high and not able to absorb the nutrients).

I sure hope he gets used to the blues quickly. nailbite_smile

Okay Poopy, it's a beautiful day here with a *little* yellow sun but a NICE big "blue" sky....get the picture? :-D

Leo does what you're thinking - when he's BGs get high he eats a little more compulsively and a little higher volume. Not all the time but enough I sense it as a pattern. But, as ECID, sometimes he just woofs everything down immediately anyway! I've tried to set a schedule for him and stick to it. I've been kind of guessing what to feed and when, and will do some more reading because he has such BG swings I wonder if I could put out food at a little different times or change some of the carb levels. Do you have a set schedule that you figured out to balance Poopy's BG? Any advice on how to do that? Trial and error is hard when the cycles are so erratic to begin with!

Hi Teresa, I have the same "I'm starving" from Mags when it's close to her AMPS and PMPS. It's also when she's on the high side. I never thought of the not absorbing the nutrients. Poopy, come on down today and make your Bean happy. Have a nice day

Blue sky would be wonderful, Lisa. I hope he gets there soon. :-D I answered your food question over on your thread. :-D

Ann, I'm not sure about the not absorbing the nutrients since he does have insulin on board...but it sure reminded me of pre-diagnosis when he was eating like a horse and shedding weight before my eyes. I would assume the higher numbers does effect absorbtion but could be way off.

Hoping for blues for Poopy today - as I am for Mannie. Far too many yellows lately, and those pinks. ugh! Blues guys, blues! Maybe even a dip into the greens Poopy? No diving though....

Karen - I can sooo hear Poopy crooning that tune! :lol: I think it sounds funny in soprano, though. :lol: :lol: :lol: (My huge cat, Poopy, has a high, squeaky voice. My teeny tiny Mia has a deep throaty voice. Now she could croon and it be believable!)

Looks like someone may dip his toes into the blue lagoon today! Woohoo! And if he follows pattern (at least what I think has been a pattern) we may see some green tonight! (Where's that fingers crossed emicon?)

Thanks for visiting again, Lisa. I hope the food stuff helped or gave ideas. I realize I may be "feeding the curve" with having food available most of the cycle.

PMPS 146...we're either going to have an interesting night and see some green or a slight surf in the blues before hitting yellow again.

Anyone care to wager? :lol:
