The little stinker dipped again. I'm hoping this means its time for his trial run. I'm ready for sleep at night. :smile:

Happy Birthday DH!! A trial would be a great gift ;-) and I would be thinking the same as you. I'm sure the wise ones will answer.

I'm wondering if you aren't about to have an active cycle tonite.
Fur Ball may want it too. That trial may be very close. That would be fantastic!! :mrgreen:

I would give Fur Ball some HC and test at +2.

Unless you can figure out how to measure less than a drop, it looks like it's trial time. Here are the instructions:

  • Test at your normal AMPS and PMPS times. Feed multiple small meals throughout the day as much as possible (small meals are less likely to overwhelm a newly functioning pancreas).
  • If your cat is green at your normal test times, no need to test further until the next "PS" time, just feed small meals and go about your day. If he is blue, feed a small meal and test again after about 3 hours. If his number is lower 3-4 hours after a meal, then his pancreas is working!
  • After 2 weeks, if everything is looking good, we have a party!

Sometimes the trial doesn't work the first time and we have to give a little more support in the form of resuming insulin. It's not the end of the world if that happens, we just give him the support he needs. Our goal is a strong remission and it's better to take our time to get that than to rush into remission just to have it fail later on.

Just saw your post. I gave him MC and just tested him again at +3=49. He's getting another MC snack as I fed him before I looked at the board.

I think FB (and his beans) are excited to try this next step and see what his body does. :-D

Looks like we will be testing throughout the night again. I may not post every time but will do my best to update the SS.
