Billie has been doing well, considering everything. Her appy has actually been great this week which is a pleasant surprise. She has been drinking a ton which makes sense with the furosemide. Her respirations have been consistent. It seems that 30 is her "normal". It jumped up to 36/38 a couple times but went back down when she got into more of a resting mode. BG has been pretty terrible though, so we're working our way up the dose ladder now that her appy is back. I imagine that with everything else going on, she'll be harder to regulate, but we'll do our best. I've also read that furosemide can mess with insulin so maybe that's a factor.
Billie got bloodwork done this week. Her liver values actually look way way better than they have in a few months, so that's something cool. They're still mildly elevated, but barely. All kidney values look normal except BUN which jumped from 38 to 48. Her cardiologist said she's not worried at the moment since her creatinine hasn't moved. Her sodium is a little low, but not too low. Chloride is also a little low, but the vet isn't worried about that either. Potassium is normal. She has her cardiology recheck next week, so we'll see how things look inside.
Lots of vines to everyone. My thoughts are with Elizabeth today
