Yesterday was a pink and yellow day, ending in a high pink before the quick plunge down to the lagoon in the middle of the night. Dose threat is now off the table! :-D

Today is the expected bounce. Just one day I'd love it if she could bounce to pink instead of red as a result of a green, but she did do a pretty quick drop last night. 200 points in 3 hours. I probably should have gotten up before +5.5 to test where she was, but her nadir is anywhere from 4.5 to 9 and usually later if she starts higher. I did an experiment last night and didn't give her any carbs at +5.5. She came up quite a bit on her own for +6.5. I compare this to the night of Oct 1st which was a similar pattern, and I gave 2 tsp HC and she rose almost the same. Seems like maybe the HC didn't have the effect I thought it did. On that day I thought I had overcarbed, but it looks like her liver was responsible for the increase.

It is yet another gorgeous sunny warmish day here with both kitties camped out in the solarium. Neko's +3 was an hour late, as we were out rowing and were out a little longer for a 15km paddle. Flat water, hardly any boats, and I'm out in the morning with just a T-shirt in October. I love days here like that. We went down towards the end of our inlet and the view to the mountains coming back was just stunning. I'll be off in a bit to start shopping for fuds for Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday.

Hi Wendy, sounds like you had a nice paddle and the weather was enjoyable. Neko's coming down nicely there at the +4! Have fun shopping for Thanksgiving.

And we just squeak in some blue today! Yeah for Neko! Way to get over than bounce.

@Ann - the weather is so much better this year than it usually is so we are taking advantage of every chance we can to enjoy it. And so is Neko, by the looks of her numbers, she now matches the blue sky!

Great that you could get out on the water today. Your row and paddle sounded perfect.

Way to break that bounce Neko! You sure are a championship diver, comparable to Zener and Mannie :-D

BC sounds pretty nice, we get a Vancouver radio station at work that i listen to all the time, they kept talking about the nice, hot weather they've been having all week. Friday at work we had +25, by Tuesday we had snow and -5, all 4 seasons within a matter of days :roll:

@Lu - I am happy to see Neko back in blues, and even happier at the greens she had last night. I see Grayson made some major progress and had a great run of greens. Paws crossed you've turned the corner with him.

@Ella - Neko is having raw turkey for dinner tonight, and I'll probably arrange the schedule so she has some on Sunday too. As long as she doesn't get ideas about the turkey planned for the beans! And yes, another great paddle. Today we were talking about how last year was not nearly as pleasant this time of year so we savor it while we can.

@Tracy - Neko definitely has great bouncing skills! But at least she is getting pretty quick at breaking them too. Just wish she'd flatten out sometime. We are expecting good weather at least until Thursday. We had such a late start to the summer so it looks like it's just shifted out a month for us. Hope yours will bounce back up in temperature for the weekend. Make sure Leo gets some turkey too at DGp's place.

Sounds like it was a wonderful day all around. I love the awesome fall days that are warm enough for a T-shirt but cool enough without the humidity. We had a nice one here too...ahhhhhhh. Doncha just had the reds-to-green bounces? It's like the little kicker at the end... look ma, I went to blue/green, aren't I a wonderful kitteh? And then BOOM - 487. Sheesh!

Here's to a less colorful day!

Well, at least it's not red. :lol: Neko had a great day. I practically had to drag her in for her dinner. It was so nice not to have her underfoot while we prepared and ate our own dinner. There was major grooming going on this afternoon, which probably means she'll be due for some more vaseline for the hairballs. She loves that stuff, always sniffing my fingers when I dab some on her ears for test time. Silly kitter!

@Lisa - don't ya just love the bounces. I have little idea what her cycle is going to look like at shot time. Neko seems to like to go really high before she does the dive. Looks like Leo likes to bounce too. At least the high numbers don't seem to bother her as much when they result from a bounce (as opposed to not enough insulin). Glad you had good weather too, a great way to enter the weekend!

Trying for a rainbow day again, Neko?
I hope tonite's cycle imitates the morning's cycle. That would definitely get Neko some more blue time.
And we'll just wait and throw a little lasso around the ankles and hold Neko in the blue lagoon so she can't bounce again.

If only .....

Silly Neko! He love vaseline? :lol: :lol: I am giving Rosy tsp of oilve oil for hairball, so far so good.
Some more blue Neko! Even the red Rosy's waiting for you on the blue today!

Coming down nicely, I think we might get down to blue tonight.

@Rhiannon - I too am hoping for some longer blue time. Keep that lasso coming!

@Helen - Neko likes olive oil too and it sure smells better than vaseline! I hope she'll join Rosy in blue soon.
