Yesterday's Condo

We stayed out later than intended last night, and then I was too wound up to sleep, so I really slept in this am. Lucky for me, Cinco was just cruisin' around the yellow floor. I'm hoping he's had enough of that level and moves on down to more interesting places tonight and tomorrow. Appy is great and he's moving around and climbing on the sofa, so I know he's feeling fine. T minus two days and counting until suture removal. Not going to jinx things and mention the possible removal of you know what! :?

I was in the middle of preparing the kitties' breakfast this morning, and hadn't tested Cinco yet when my DMIL called, and I couldn't get her off the phone. The natives were getting very restless and WWIII almost broke out around my feet as Harvey and Minka disputed whose turn it was to circle me like a shark! At least I had no trouble getting them to eat when I finally got off the phone and put the food down! Another benefit of the delay was that it ended up being almost two hour after I gave Sasha the Ondansetron before she got her breakfast, and she ate all but about two bites! :-D I gave her almost an entire jar of baby food last night before I went to bed, so I wasn't sure she'd be hungry this morning, but she was. Paws crossed I've figured out how to prevent the chemo induced tummy troubles! I'll be sure to give her another late night snack tonight, too. She had lost a few ounces when they weighed her at UCD last Tuesday, and we don't want her losing any more, so if I have to supplement her regular food with baby food, so be it.

Hope everyone is having a nice, relaxing Sunday. I've done nothing but watch the NASCAR race (in which my driver crashed  ) and scoop boxes and make the bed. Guess I really should go tackle the mountain of dishes in the kitchen before it's time to start supper. Ooops! I just remembered I haven't gotten anything out of the freezer for dinner! ohmygod_smile Gotta run!

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Prayers ongoing for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF & DH, Elise's DM, and Wendy's DM .

Nice report all-around, except for the near-battle due to a delayed breffis. Yay for everyone eating and feeling well, and MamaBean having a nice relaxing day. Have a great evening, Tricia!

When you sleep in the day gets even busier! Looks like you handled everything beautifully. Fingers and paws crossed for a successful suture removal for Cinco. It is good to hear how well Sasha is doing.

Have a good evening and keep cool out there!

Glad you got to sleep in and looks like Cinco has been slighter shade of pale :-D

I think Jersey must have been sending notes to Minka and Harvey on plotting your demise. Glad Sasha ate!!!

Thanks for visiting, Amy, Ella and Marje.

We got a Mr. Greenie!   Woo Hoo! Cinco just demolished his midnight snack. I would have given him more, but I think I'll test him in an hour and give him another little snack then. I want to make sure he's not taking a late night dip in the lagoon. He was really active tonight - actually strolled through the dining area as we were eating, pausing to sniff the fresh air coming in the screen door, then through the kitchen into the living room. He ended up sprawled on the floor in the entryway. He hasn't taken himself in there in weeks. Then he wandered back to his current favorite spot in the family room, with a stop at the LB (announcing his intentions on the way  ). I take all this as a good sign. :-D

Sasha ate all but about two bites of her dinner, and did the same with the midnight snack I just took her. I did not have to resort to baby food. I'm hoping tomorrow will be the last day of Ondansetron. I'm not sure she needs it even then, but I want to play it safe.

Skyped with DH's parents this evening for almost an hour. His maternal grandmother is fading and the decision has been made to move her to a care facility. His aunt, who has been caring for her the past few years, can't manage on her own anymore. Her own husband is already in the same facility, with dementia. Nana is 96 and until about a year ago was pretty spry and still with it, just hard of hearing. During the past year she's gone downhill fast. Now she doesn't want to eat and falls down a lot - too weak. Very sad, but this is the cycle of life. We hope to see her when we go to AZ next month for the NASCAR race. Will probably be our last chance. Mark is being stoic, but I know he's upset. I tell him he's lucky to have had her this long. All my grandparents were gone before I started high school.

All the furry kids have had their snack, DH is in bed and I'm relaxing with an adult beverage. Wishing all my LL family a peaceful night.
