AMBG 92; PMBG 93. Getting closer. He's really happy. He asked me to thank you guys again. Here's his message:

Without FDMB my mom would have spent lots and lots more money (less for treats for me), and she would probably still be giving me shots (even though I kind of liked them), and I would have had to spend more time at that place called "the vet", I might not have recovered from my pancreatitis :shock: and my family and civvie would have worried and worried about me..... and I could go on......so...

Picknickchick and River - wow, River is so pretty. He looks a lot like a black cat we had for 18 years. We got him a year before our first child was born, and he passed when she was 17 (she's 28 now). So my kids grew up with him. On the pancreatitis, I did exactly what the advisors on this board told me to do. I'll try to find the post, but it included keeping him home (except when I had to work, and I had no choice but to have him at the vet), injecting fluids, giving pain meds, giving tummy calmer (Pepcid) and getting him to eat somehow. Also, and I think this was really important, at Donaleen and Ozy's urgings (thanks Donaleen and Ozy!), I had him get a B12 injection. The vet poopooed it at first, but after the first injection, he made marked improvements. I'm continuing to give him a B12 injection every week, and he's had no re-occurrance (knock on wood).

I know all kitties respond differently, and some are more difficult to get well than others, but I've tried to do everything exactly as advised here. Because of my schedule, I haven't always been able to do so. But I think the advisors here really know their stuff, based on the statistics of numbers of kitties who get well, so the more exactly the advise can be followed, the better the results.
