Good morning all.
Another flat yellow/pink cycle and looking at Lou's spreadsheet is definitely giving me a headache. Today is cycle 6 on the 2.5u dose. I'm back to work today, but I'm not expecting any miracles at this point. As long as nothing happens, I'll be upping his dose to 2.75u tonight. I am so bummed though. I've heard of flying down the dosing ladder, what about flying up the dosing ladder? :arghh:

I hope you all have a wonderful day and your kitties stay safe. Vines to all kitties and beans in need. :bighug:

Sometimes you have to go up in dose before you can go back down. Try to remember Lou is more than his numbers. :bighug:

Doodles was IAA only. He went from 3u down to .75u in about 3 months then got up to 12u in about 2 months. He would have good weeks and bad weeks but ended up hanging around 6-7 units although not regulated. I know your frustration but also saw the vet update which is much more important. As long as he's feeling good try to look past the numbers. You're doing a great job.

Thanks Karen, that actually makes me feel better. It's good to know major swings like this are not completely unheard of with IAA kitties. I appreciate the kind words, I think I need to hear them as well. I am upset about the increases, but I think I'm more frustrated with the sheer lack of action going on with the BGs. I think I'll feel better when he starts looking like he's on insulin again, regardless of what dose he's at when that happens.

Thanks all! Hopefully he'll hear you today!
