I decided to only give her .5U tonight. I understand the concept of shoot low to stay low and I would have given her the full 1.25U tonight if I knew she would eat some food when I needed her to. However, she hasn't been feeling well all day. She didn't touch her food overnight, only ate a few bites for breakfast, and I struggled all day to get her to eat little bits here and there. Since she only ate a little bit for supper and I don't know if she will eat more this evening, I just didn't feel comfortable giving her the full dose. I hope she feels better tomorrow.

Sorry to hear Destiny isn't feeling well. Are you able to test her for ketones? If she doesn't feel better tomorrow I'd be calling the vet.

Are you able to test her for ketones?

I will test her for ketones, but I don't think that is the issue. Saturday evening she slipped off the coffee table and fell. She tried to catch herself and tweaked her right wrist. I think it is the painkiller, onsior. She has taken it various times previously with no issues, but I think it is effecting her this time. I didn't give her the third pill tonight, but threw it away. I wonder how long onsior stays in their system. Hopefully, it starts wearing off tonight so she feels better tomorrow.

I am pretty sure the reason for her inappetence is onsior. It’s the first side effect for cats.
