Yesterday

Last night was extremely uneventful. It started out so promising with a PMPS of 123, but Champ just continued to go up from there. I suspect he went low in his AM cycle between +6 and +10 and I didn't catch it. He's been having some weird cycles and they really have me scratching my head. I think I need to do a curve, testing him every two hours, to see what's going on. Of course, as we all know, every day is different. Knowing Champ, he'll throw me a perfect Lantus curve on that day and then switch it up again the next day!! God forbid you should ever call Champ predictable!!

I'm happy to say that Champ has been doing very well other than his BGs. He's eating well, LB action is completely normal, and he's acting quite content. His shaky front legs continue, but he doesn't seem to let it stop him from doing what he wants to do, whether it's jumping up onto something or running when he feels like it (which isn't often because he's a true lump!!). I do need to make an appointment with the vet to get him started on the Adequan. I keep putting it off because I'm scared it won't work. I keep telling myself that being an ostrich, and putting my head in the sand, isn't going to change anything. I need to just get it done!!

Today promises to be a busy one at work so I'll have to visit condo's a bit later. I hope you all have a great Tuesday!!

Hi guys, boy it feels like forever since I've been in champs condo .. sorry to hear the numbers kept going up last night .. At least it is a low pink this morning .. should be seeing yellow very soon, right champ? :-D Glad to hear that champ is feeling pretty good these days .. I'm hopeful the Adequan works for you guys .. have a great day!

Adequan has worked such wonders for my Mario all around...I think because his arthritis has improved, the rest of him has, too. His whole demeanor is much more "Mario", and although he still can't jump on furniture, he is way more playful, spunky, chatty, and social - just like he was in his younger days. I think you should give it a shot...just kind of hold your breath going into it, so that if and when it starts working, you'll feel incredibly elated!

OK, Champ.....outta the pink and back to blue....ya think you can do that? He certainly is an unpredictable kitty!

Patty, I picked up adequan to start with Zoe today......I will let you know how it goes. ;-)

What a dive big guy! He realized all at once that pink looks silly on him. Wow! Hope he shows you a little green today too Patty.

It is really great to hear that Champ is happy. I would definitely start the adequan. It has done wonders for our dog. I haven't heard anyone say it hasn't worked.

Champ may be unpredictable, but he's lookin' good today (after the AMPS, that is). I hope that you will start the Adequan. It seems to really help a lot of the kitties.

Hi Patty, thanks for stopping by Mag's condo. I'm glad to see Champ come down to a nice blue surf. It's so nice to hear he's feeling good despite the problems with his legs, and nothing stops him from playing. It sounds encouraging with the Adequan. Champ, you did good today. Have a good evening,

Yay for Champ!!!! What a really nice surf and I hope he didn't drop at the end of the cycle.

For some reason, Champ's liver thinks his numbers during his AM cycle were low enough to cause a bounce. Personally, I think his liver needs an attitude adjustment...for real!!!


Oh, Marje!!!! Love the picture!! I've never actually seen an ostrich with it's head in the sand...so THAT'S what I look like!!
 
Champ.....you are so done with LTS so whatcha doing up there?

Yes, dahling....and you have the long, slender legs and pls take that as a compliment!
