Debra, when do you think you'll get blood work results?!
We are praying for good results on your beautiful boy. For Halloween, i think I'm dressing up as a tired old lady this year. Oh, I won't even need a costume:D
Looks like another green surfing day for Yoyo! :D:D

Ha,ha, ha, ha....very funny :).... hopefully results today but the office along with thousands of other offices in the country have their servers down. Some kind of corruption took place at main head location. I didn't hear about it on the news. Happened last Friday. So not sure how blood results will be sent to me. Paws crossed that all is good, gets me sooo nervous and when I see that email my stomach flips over.

I hope Ti-Mousse decides to visit the beach and the lagoon today.

I couldn't find a post for you today and I was wondering how your SIL is doing. I hope she has improved.

Happy Holloween...... hope your weather is better than other family members on this site who have written that Holloween has been postponed for tomorrow night and or Saturday night.

I don't think Ti-Mousse will visit the beach today, he's in flat yellows since almost 2 days; he'll get an increase tomorrow.
Was planning to post this morning but instead started with visiting everybody; today I have to look up a few things for my little girl CKD!!:(
SIL still in hospital, getting a little stronger but still one side paralysed; hopefully when she goes to the rehab center, things will start to get better.
Rain should start this afternoon, but tonight and tomorrow will be worst with wind warnings!! If halloween is not canceled, for sure we won't have many little visitors...
Have a nice day Debra! :bighug:

Hope everything is alright with you, I haven't seen you on the site. I have looked for you for several days but I didn't see any posts for Tina. I also hope that I haven't done something to slight you:confused:

The vet called with some of the results. They have no computers and thus she can't send the blood report to me:(
From what she told me though, his kidney values are going up:(, thyroid is low-at the bottom of normal, and his hematocrit is getting lower with each blood test.....so not the greatest news but not the worse either.

If you have time, can you please share what you are feeding Tina for her kidney values? Greatly appreciate it:)

Oh Debra, I'm so sorry I didn't check in with you sooner! I scanned over and watched from afar. DH took off again the end of the week (messed up my routine), and I went on that hair binge and turned pink yesterday. More pets to take care of too.
I sure was hoping for good blood results for Yoyo. I took Tina for blood work this morning. A bit over 3 weeks ago, her creatinine was over 4.3 and BUN was 48, so we started the subq fluids then. It doesn't sound like Yoyo's kidneys are that bad (?) Just aging can cause the overall values to rise. It would be best if you could get that whole report and ask Marje to review! Still soon hopefully.

Soon after diagnosis, I switched Tina from the CKD diet to Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken (3.9% carbs, .82 phos on a dry matter basis). Since her kidneys are worse now, I just don't know if I did the right thing, but she has other issues too with the thyroid (overtreated; now trying to balance) that could be affecting the kidneys. The vet agreed with the Weruva and back to higher protein (instead of low protein in the kidney diets). But that was before her creatinine went up so much. Phosphorus is lowest in the kidney diet food, but carbs are over 25% (don't remember how much).
We both have cats that have to deal with the thyroid and kidney balance, along with FD.

If you want to go over a lot of kidney disease information, the following site is a very good one. However, it may cause unnecessary stress, OR, with me, it actually helped a lot. You may be familiar with it already.

I'm sad I have to get ready to leave again, but I'll be back! :bighug::bighug:Debra and Yoyo:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you...I went on to the site. There is so much information given. One disease leads into another disease and on and on it goes. It was helpful and I saved it to my favorites. I have lots of questions for my vet:)
