10/31 Tom - no testing

Have not updated in a few days.

We have not really been testing much. Tom is losing weight and we are really letting him eat whatever he wants, whenever he wants it. Makes testing results unreliable. Usually, what he will eat is HC and I have to stay next to him otherwise the other 2 will eat it all.

He is evidently losing muscle mass. He's walking slower now, doesn't venture out as far outside on his leash, although he still enjoys it. Yesterday he sat on the back door stoop just taking in the sun, with the other 2 watching him intently in the door.

DH was working late last night and came home to find myself and DD asleep in our bed, Tom between us with his head on a pillow. He is quite the cuddle bug.

It's awesome. DH carried DD to her bed and left Tom where he was :smile:

when my dad was diagnosed with diabetes at age 87, the docs wanted me to keep him from far too many of his favorite foods, including chocolate milk.

dad wanted his chocolate milk, i gave it to him. sometimes quality of life is the most important thing. enjoy the time you have with Tom. he sounds very special.
