So, Tink had an overall good day yesterday. PMPS was a bit high, but I also had to shoot 1/2hr late as I couldn't get home in time. Was totally preoccupied attempting to make peanut butter balls and missed getting a +2. Tested at +3.5 and he'd had quite a bit of a drop so I fed them at that time. Tested again at bedtime (+5) and he was down to 74, so I figured I'd better test one more time. Set the alarm and snoozed for 30min, tested him (LUCKY I DID!) at 48!!! Being as late in the cycle as it was (never had him go low so late), I tried lc first. That brought him right up... went back up in the 60's right away and stayed there.

I think he's working on a bounce this morning of course. Hopefully it'll be milder.

Of course, now that we've gone under 50, I guess an increase this weekend is out of the question. I'm not going to decrease yet either though. He seems to be trying to settle back into this dose again, after a wonky week or so. I think those macaroons last weekend threw him for a loop.

On the bright side... we managed to avoid adding peanut butter balls to Tink's list of favorites.

hahahaha on the pb balls! TINK! if you'd left them to go test him, you never know if Tarzan would've snitched a few, snuck them out to the hall so he and Tink could've had a little post-testing snacky together!

I'll be curious to see what he is at pmps. Perhaps he ate pb balls while you've been at work . . . ;-)

They're in the outside freezer, so I think we're safe there. LOL While the dog knows how to turn the doorknob (yeah... that's fun  ), the cats do not. Yet. Shoot... (anti-jinx, anti-jinx, anti-jinx!!!!) ohmygod_smile

I did catch him chomping on a piece of dog kibble an hour before PMPS. But, even so, PMPS was reasonable... though I would assume elevated from the kibble. Still, looks like the bounce was mild and cleared quickly.

Your dog can turn a doorknob? Wow. We used to have a cat that could open a door that had a handle, but never one that could manage a knob.

I'm glad Tink cleared his bounce. :o on the dog kibble. You'd think he'd realize that was food for the lower orders - not fit for a cat!

Good to see Tink came down a bit today. Oh Tink, kibble - really? There's so much tastier things to be had in your house.

We did a bunch of renos and put lever handles on the doors. Discovered what a mistake that was with a foster Maine Coon who learned how to open them. Then we adopted him out to a house with lever handles.  Our shelter has a sliding door from one common room to the kitchen. Surprising number of cats who learned how to open that. Cats rule the house!

Oh yeah... she puts both front paws on the knob, goes up with one paw, down with the other and voila. Door open. Takes her all of 2 seconds and she's gotten amazingly quiet at it. I have old doorknobs (circa 1906) on a couple doors, which are the ones she can open - so they don't have quite as much spring resistance as modern knobs. But still. It's ridiculous. Gonna be a hefty heating bill this winter.
