Today is our One Year OTJ Anniversary. flip_cat
We made it.

Our world is mostly good.
Shadow is still entertained a bit by the cat's meow toy. Nothing to report , everything is sailing smoothly at this moment.
I am going to go get her some crab to celebrate her special day today.
It is also my DH's bday. We have been doing birthday stuff all week.
I made crawfish enchiladas con queso last night. I made him a carrot cake on sunday. and he has a baskin robbins cake today.
We will go to Pappadeaux's on Saturday.
I have something like a cold. (very snuffly- especially when I lay down)

This week has been stressed out with my mother/grandmother situation.
My mother fell numerous times this past week and no one can lift her so they wind up calling the fire dept.
She fell and hit her head on Monday, gashed herself and they called 911 and she's is now in hospital.
She was in CCU but they moved her down to a CDU ( clinical decision unit)
Her breathing is difficult. She isn't cooperating and saying weird things. She had hypoxia when she got there but she has improved.
She called 911 this morning from her hospital bed and reported that she had been kidnapped. :roll:
She does stuff like that which makes them label her crazy.
She is just in her own little world and hates hospitals so she acts out when she is in one.
My grandmother is stuck at home.... can't drive ( can't see well enough, license just expired, and it's raining today) so she can't go visit.
They are both frightened that someone will come and take them away to a nursing home.
My mother should be in one but won't go voluntarily.
We were about to jump in car when we thought my mother might not make it but everything has stabilized for now. So we stay home.
It's a 13 hour drive and they won't want me around with a respiratory illness.
We wait to make such a trip when things are really dire.
Unfortunately my grandmother doesn't have anyone to drive her or help her in any way at the moment.
