Good Morning, Everyone,

It's here! Halloween! The most magical night of the year for our kitties because they get to celebrate with their beloved GAs on the night that the veil between the world and the spirit world is the thinnest. Rusty welcomes all kitties to Camp Stu, where the progressive Halloween party will culminate tonight:



Stu will be there too, in spirit:



We hope all kitties will come to the party. See the details in Mannie's condo.

All is well here. Rusty is a little higher this morning, but he was eating his nighttime food when the alarm went off. I'm going to try to get in touch with Roni later. I don't know if she will be able to get to her house today. Apparently 90 % of customers on Long Island are still without electricity, and the evacuated beach neighborhoods are still officially evacuated, so people will not be able to get back in except to survey the damage. I'll post later if I hear from Roni.

Checkers is so looking forward to seeing Stu tonight. :smile:

He said to say, he is looking forward to partying with Rusty too.......well sheesh, that goes without saying. :-D

Hi guys .. rusty is looking good in blue this morning ... mocha is super excited about the party, she can't wait! I sure do hope that roni's house survived with minimal damage .. I'm keeping them all in my prayers ...

Nice start to the day, I'm sure Rusty will be back in the Lagoon for the festivities. Thanks for keeping us posted on Roni, we are all hoping that any damage will be minimal.

Ready to start getting things ready for the final phase of the party! Will the deer family be coming? I hear you had a talk w/ them yesterday! I hope Mannie gets here soon w/ the espressos! -- Tess

Ooh, Tess, that Neptune costume you made for me is da bomb!! Thanks so much. I think Moonie would like to be mysterious, romantic and sexy. If my mamabean can get in touch with her mamabean, she'll try to find out. Our deer family can't get to Camp Stu: it's 70 miles from here. But there may be deer from our neighbor's deer family. We'll see if they like cats! See ya later,

No news yet on Roni. I'll try to call her from downtown this afternoon. My cell phone doesn't work in our house!

Hi again,

I just got off the phone with Roni. They still can't get back to their home because the whole city of Long Beach is cut off. There is no water or sewers (the treatment plant was destroyed in the storm); there is no electricity; no phone service; no road access. The National Guard and Senator Schumer are there right now, surveying the damage. Roni & Brad have their call in to FEMA, so that's about all they can do for now. Fortunately, the motel in Commack where they are staying has had electricity restored, so at least they are no longer in the dark and can watch the whole awful scene on TV. The Nassau County Highway Dept. says that the roads into Long Beach are impassable. Even the Southern State Parkway is still closed. Roni said she would call me when she hears anything new. They hope to be able to get back to see their house tomorrow (if it is possible to get there on the washed-out roads). I'll keep you posted.

Rusty is at Camp with Mannie and Tess, setting up and getting it ready for the party. He's back in green. He's doing well.

Off now to watch more of the NYC disaster unfold on TV. Busses are running today, but subways will not be running for days. About 600,000 buildings are still without power (in Manhattan alone, no electricity below 34th St.). However, the NYC Marathon is going to be run on Sunday, as scheduled. I think this is great. It will give the residents something to gather around and cheer about.

Thanks for posting the news from roni...my heart goes out to them. At least they are safe though. I feel so bad for everyone there...we are getting mostly new Jersey news down here where I am but I know there is an awful lot on Long Island that is newsworthy too.....will have to try to get online to witness any stuff about my home town....Thanks for the update Ella! Please give Roni our love if you talk with her again!

They are both great! I think Moonie would like either one, but the second one might be easier to dance in and to lead the kitty chorus in!

Hi there

I havent been in your condo before so Happy Halloween and nice to "meet" you. Looking at his numbers I wonder if its time to do a few spot checks at different times? I find myself wondering what he is doing at AMPS +2 +3 and +4 and the same for PMPS after +4. I wonder if he is dropping low sometimes in there and you could be missing it? Wouldnt do any harm to do a few spot checks to see.

Sorry to hear about Roni.. hope this mess gets cleared up soon!

Hi Ella, Happy Halloweeen! Nice dip into the green lagoon for Rusty :mrgreen: , he must be making room for Halloween party consumuption. Japser is already resting up for the party and he plans to bring "his" 3 civvies if that is ok. Thanks for the update on Roni, glad they are as OK as possible and the motel has power now. Please keep us posted.

Hi Ella, thanks for the update on Roni! My thoughts and prayers are with her and Brad and Moonie. I can't begin to imagine what it's like for them. Give her our love when you talk to her.

Hi again,

I think the Halloween Party is in full swing. Soon it will be the witching hour and our kitties and our GAs will see and maybe touch each other through the thin veil. The banquets will be served on both sides of the veil. Food and drink aplenty, served up by LL's Master Chef Mannie on this side, and by Master Chef Stu at the Bridge. I heard from Rusty that Moonie has been leading the Kitty Chorus in some beautiful songs: "Over the Rainbow" is the big hit of the night. They are fishing, dancing, and gathering around the fire sharing stories. I hope to learn tomorrow more about the party, but, you know, the kitties like to keep these things to themselves. It's all part of the mysteries surrounding the veil. Party on! The costumes are awesome!

Rusty/Neptune has decided to live up to his costume tonight. I'll have to set an alarm for later.

Wishing everyone a fine evening and a Happy Halloween. Thinking of all our kitties and beans who are under the weather this evening and sending out many healing vines,

Hi Ella - sorry for the late post... another DGS day where condos ended up falling by the wayside. I hope your Halloween was fun, and your day a good one.

Looks like someone did not drink enough party punch to keep his numbers up! Love the Neptune costume and also the second Moonie costume!

I feel so bad for Roni. The waiting must be so difficult. Jason has not been able to get to work because the mass transit system is basically out.

What a saint you are for having all those kitties there.
