Just adding this link about zobaline for my info here:

viewtopic.php?p=914980

Is it better to get the methylcobalamin in the daily tablets/capsules of once a month in injection form from the vet?

Nice surf!!!

I don't know if you realized you added the candle to Remi's condo. The candle is for kitties who have crossed the bridge. I was relieved to see that all was OK with Remi!!

I was prepared to send condolences after seeing that candle. I'm glad that Remi's ok, and doing well, however, please remove that candle from your subject line. Thanks. :-D

I think the Vitamin B-12 shots and daily Zobaline (methylcobalamin) work differently. Many people do both. I see on the link you found that someone had good luck within a couple of weeks - I've also heard people say that it can take a while to see improvement.

that's a pretty good link that you found there on the Zobaline discussion.

Here's your condo/thread from yesterday.

Wow, I'm glad that the candle was in error! Have a great day, guys. Surf safe, Remi! The LagoonMeister has his eye on you.

Me too! i made that mistake when I first joined too.

Oh  i am so sorry. I have no idea that I had somehow added a candle to my post. I still don't know how that happened! I edited the thread on my phone and so I guess my sausage fingers must have clicked it by accident.

I feel I need to do some sort of anti jinx thing

Thanks everyone for dropping by though

Thanks Julie

I wasn't really sure if they were the same thing or not. I am picking up a vit b injection tomorrow from the vets and will go ahead and order the zobaline. My only concern is whether they cause nausea. Remi couldn't cope at all with denamarin, it made him sick. I know that they are completely different but wonder if nausea is a side effect.

I didn't see any sign of nausea when i used both of those with punkin. I also haven't heard anyone say that, but it doesn't mean that it's not possible.

The vit b12 injections can really perk up a kitty. You'll have to let us know if you see changes in Remi!

Thanks everyone for visiting remi's thread yesterday. I haven't had time to set up one for today but have been doing the normal tests for remi .

Julie-I just gave the vit b injection a couple of hours ago and will see how he does over the next few days and report back. I am going to order the zobaline as well.

Wendy

Yes the Lantus has really flattened out remi's cycles. if he keeps this up for another seven he will be due for a reduction won't he :-D

that's right! 7 more cycles of under 120 and you can try to reduce by 0.25u. Nothing like being able to see and measure progress! It's pretty awesome.

In the meantime, we know that a kitty that takes as long as they need on insulin to let their pancreas heal has a stronger chance of staying in remission. So enjoy knowing that he's healing inside with every cycle spent in these lovely green numbers.
