Morning ~O) ~O) gee it looks like Maggie may have stayed in the pinks thru the night. Mannie, I needs help with the caffeine, looking forward to your kitteh barista Espresso.
I may have done a fur shot. last night I did did add a drop to her dose. Now I am counting 11 drops. Those of you who use calipers, would it be easier for me with calipers rather than counting drops?
I am having Internet Carrier connection problems, so if you see typos and not making sense sentences, it's the computer not the user. :-D It's taken me 30 minutes to get this posted.
Maggie seems to be feeling well, good appy, disappointment in not seeing Mrs. Skunkie yet, but I've told Mags Skunkie friend is enroute from Flagstaff today to SD per our promise to Anne & Liz. Errands today and I may need more Maggie food.

Oh my, after I saw that 348 @ +3, I decided to log off and give Mags a poke break. Thanks for all the visits after I went ni ni!

Rhiannon, that pic is hysterical. It couldn't be any cuter! I guess that is Maggie's costume for Halloween! She loves it!

Hi Ella & Rusty, I am glad you, DH and Rusty are okay. I hope so, too, on Roni's house and glad they evacuated.

Michelle, Ouchie on the pink is right. I think I must have done a fur shot.

Dale, way up there is right. She seems to be feeling good. Good on the pm. My GA kitty had different circumstances.

Marje, I guess it's time for a dosecrease, not Maggie numbers. This was close to her dose of Lactulose, and normally I do later, but forgot to set a Lactulose alarm. :?

Re: Maggie AMPS 392

Hi guys .. well bummer on the furshot if it happened! I know miss maggie doesn't normally wear this color so hopefully she ditches it soon and goes for something much more suiting .. say green?? Have a great day guys!

Re: Maggie AMPS 392

Hi Ann. Sounds like you're having a busy morning. Hope Maggie drops her number for you. I'm sorry you're having computer issues. My iPad was doing the same thing. It would add an extra letter on it's own now and then and sometimes the entire message would just disappear before I was finished typing. Makes you frustrated doesn't it. I hope you get it going correctly soon. Have a good day and hope you have a pleasant time running your errands.

Re: Maggie AMPS 392

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) Mannie say to tell you he is on his way... lots of ~O) ~O) ~O) just for you.

WOW on that amps... could be then on the fur shot. These are just not Maggie numbers. I suspect she will come down soon for you. I am not a caliper user here, but from what I hear the measuring is precise, and maybe it would be helpful for you. I understand that the calipers are not that expensive either.

bummer on the internet issues... hate it when that happens.

Have a good one today. Maggie - you too!

Re: Maggie AMPS 392; +3 162

+3 162

Quite a drop for such a petite girl!

Devon, your wish is her command! :-D Maggie changed to a blue suit. Thanks for stopping in and lots of scritches to Mocha.

Hi John and Frosty, thanks for stopping by. I have one of those combo Internet/cable package deals. It seems like peak times I have problems. I can keep typing in place while it's frozen, and then all of a sudden the typing catches up on its own. Maggie not that long ago almost seemed like she had a chance at going OTJ, but then some medical issues arose, and she got off track. I hope to get her back on healing numbers.

Hi Michelle, I think I hear Mannie at my door now with my delivery. Thank you Mannie for my Espresso. ~O) ~O) Thanks on Maggie. Her Nadir numbers are almost always on the blue side. Once in a while those fur shots happen with us.

Re: Maggie AMPS 392; +3 162

Wow! That is quite the drop for Maggie. She skipped the yellow floor completely. Looks like if it was a fur shot, it is old news now. Have a great day Ann!

Re: Maggie AMPS 392; +3 162

I don't think it was a fur shot! Looks like Maggie came down quickly, so I suspect a food spike.

Good Morning, Ann & Maggie,

Maggie, your costume for tonight is terrific. All the kitties are looking forward to the party. Rusty says: see ya soon, Maggie Banana

Have a fine day,

Hugs,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. You ought to give the digital calipers a try. Did you order them yet? Much simpler, in my opinion, than counting drops. Once you do your experimenting and figure out what your 11 drops correspond to on the calipers, it is so easy to get the same dose each time. Marje's pictures of how to measure with the calipers are very clear. Which syringes are you using? If you use Terumos, or another syringe that doesn't have a hollow "cone", you should be fine (the Monojects have the cone, and are therefore not good candidates for caliper measuring).
Here's the link to Marje's caliper photos: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=79851&hilit=calipers

Re: Maggie AMPS 392; +3 162; +4 94

+4 94

Maggie went from pink to blue to green! You wouldn't think just adding a drop would make such a difference. I hope no "b" later!

Hi Melissa, it's a surprise to me with skipping the yellow floor. Yes, I think she's recovering from last night's pm fur shot!

Hi Ella, I suspect part of her AMPS is eating close to the two hour no food time frame. Yes, Mags can
t decide between the banana or the BatGirl costume. I think she's leaning towards BatGirl! :-D
Thanks on the link for the calipers and info. I do use the Monojects.

Re: Maggie AMPS 392; +3 162; +4 94

Well, those are certainly better numbers than AMPS! What a shocker! Leo did the same thing this morning and I retested, but nope, he's through the roof again. Those darned computer problems - sometimes I sit there and wonder if my post got eaten and I'm afraid to touch anything until it starts working again so I don't lose it all

I just started using the calipers and find I need to get a lighted magnifying glass to see it. So in that regard, it's harder than counting drops. Good luck if you try that - I'm still working on it.

Mags - we can be bananas together! Mamabean put my diligent sewing skills in our condo - I hope we can go as twins!!! ~Leo

Re: Maggie AMPS 392; +3 162; +4 94

Hi Ann
Very colorful kitty this morning lol! Hoping tonight is more normal for you! Thanks for being there for support, we appreciate it!

Re: Maggie AMPS 392; +3 162; +4 94; +6 120

+6 120

Thanks Michelle & Scrabble, I hope I can keep her in these numbers, too. It's getting the right dose.

Lisa & Leo, I hope we can get keep them both on a lower floor and out of trouble.
Leo, the nanner costume it is for me; we'll be twins, Mags

Re: Maggie AMPS 392; +3 162; +4 94; +6 120

Nice recovery! Maybe it was just a bad strip!

:dizcat Uh, OK, …..another nanner? Uh I'll just bring the Cat Girl too! come early, lots of fur dying to do! -- Tess

Re: Maggie AMPS 392; +3 162; +4 94; +6 120

Yay, Maggie slid back down.

I think the calipers are good for verification and accuracy. I had monojects which were alarmingly inaccurate. The lines were not consistent
at all so loading a syringe based on only the markings meant at least a drop in variation from one shot to the next.
The terrumo's are more accurate but they can still be off in their line markings too. So before I loaded the syringe, I would check the marking
to see that it was where it should be and if it wasn't, I would adjust the amount I loaded into the syringe.
Then the difference with the terrumo's, is when you think you are giving one drop only, I would squeeze the plunger and nothing came out
by the caliper method of measurement. At the end when we were giving one drop. I had to re-adjust to make sure I was giving one drop
and it looked more like .25 u on the terrumo. If I had still been using the monojects, I think it would have been on the zero line because
of that extra amount in the nose cone.

If it is hard to see, especially measuring on a table with calipers, light box tracer helps provide back light.
You could also create the same effect if you have a glass table.... it was very handy to have light under the syringe too.

If your syringes are inconsistent by one drop....
you could be giving that much variation in Maggie's shots from one day to the next.

Re: Maggie AMPS 392; +3 162; +4 94; +6 120

Very nice dip into the green lagoon this morning Mags, now if you could just stay there! There's nothing to see up on the blue floor.....honestly! :-D

Are you coming as a banana? Or cat girl? I think both costumes would look great on you. See you at the party! Leo

Re: Maggie AMPS 392; +3 162; +4 94; +6 120; +9 164

+9 164
Okay, blue is nice but no yellow please!

Hi Lisa & Leo, it looks like they both started high. I tested against my back-up meter, and it was close, so I'm afraid the AMPS was correct!
Leo, I love your pic and video. Yes, we can be twins. I will also have a BatGirl costume I think, Mags

Hi Michelle & Scrabble, yeah Mags is all over the colors today. I hope she can stay off the yellow floor.

Ann & Tess, uh oh :-D I love the CatGirl costume you made for me and the nanner; wonder if I could have both. :? I promised Leo we'd be twins. I picked up some new strips today for the Confirm. I need to order some on ADW.

Rhiannon, wow and thanks for all the info on the calipers. I know on the syringes w/out counting drops, there can be a drop's difference if we just go by the lines. I admire all you who use the calipers and are so precise. Thanks on Mags and the slide. Zener has tried to teach her well.

Tracy & Leo, litttle Maggie did touch down once in the Green Lagoon, then back up!
Leo, can't wait to see ya, too. I think I will wear both costumes, since I love them both, Mags

Nice surf for Maggie today. Good luck if you decide to use the calipers. When I started using them for Furball, I was amazed at how inaccurate the syringes really are.
