Didn't get a chance to post yesterday, was such a hectic day and by the time I got home, I tested, fed, shot and just went to sleep! Not much to talk about from the numbers yesterday anyways, figured he was bouncing from the 40's he saw on Friday. But I did implement the his dose decrease last night and looks like its working cause this morning he had a great AMPS....but I guess that could be from him throwing up his food at 345am as well.

I was so tired this morning that I wasn't thinking when I gave him 3% food instead of at least 5% (probably should've even started with 10%). Meant to test him again at +1, but I was still so tired and felt like I was sleepwalking so I just gave him food and fell back asleep. I seriously have no idea what I was thinking! I finally starting making the right decisions by +2 and tested him...but he was at 37 !!!! I am soooooo mad at myself!! This is totally my fault and I could've prevented it from happening, I was just too tired and just thinking of myself. Going to test again in a few minutes.....he seems ok though, even playing with an earplug he just found on the bedside table. So I'm sure he's fine, but this better be my lesson to not be selfish next time and think about Lightning before myself.

oh, pamela...we all get tired and make mistakes...nobody more than myself. don't beat yourself up.
lightning knows how hard you are working to help healing...

Thanks Celi....trying not to be too mad at myself, but I can't help it sometimes. The fact that Lightning is acting like his normal self makes me happy....

That is a great costume!!! Haha, i love the drool coming off the tongue too! No wonder they refer to dogs as "droolers".

Well, right now Lightning is more of a party pooper than a trooper, he wore himself out playing with his new toy (which he's already managed to lose/hide so I can't find it). But time for him to wake up for his +3!!

I agree with Celi - we all do it from time to time. Lightning will be fine - already he is coming up. What a great set of numbers this AM.

Mannie hopes Lightning will come to the party - He and Tess are very good meter users, and will watch over lightning.

Pamela--Lightning would have probably dropped anyway, as his shed is still filled--It happens sometimes when you first drop the dose, action still left by what's still in the shed, but it will level out later today.
Not to worry, you are doing a great great job!! Great numbers today--Surf Lightning!!

Thanks Michelle and Roni!! If there's any day for a pep talk...today is the day!

Lightning is preparing for the party right now.....taking a nice and thorough bath right now and then I'm sure he'll take another nap to make sure he's well rested to party the night away Oh, yup, nap has just begun!

Pamela I agree with everyone else. You do so much for Lightning every day. All of us get tired. The cardinal rule for taking care of others is to take care of yourself first. If you don't, you can get run down and not be able to care for your loved one. YOU'RE NOT SELFISH!! Just the opposite... a lot of owners put their FD kitties down. You obviously needed to sleep and rest. :YMHUG:

Lightning looks great, you obviously are doing a great job. Smile and scare someone today. Not Lightning :lol:
