Good morning and Happy Halloween to all cool cats :cat:
Two calm cycles yesterday with a few dips where I fed some MC.
I had to go out yesterday afternoon for a bit so I fed a tsp of MC before I left as she was dipping. She was ok while I was out. :)
Then overnight she didn’t eat her +8.25 snack and I saw she was dropping at +9.5 so I fed her a tsp of 9.25% (around 4 am).
So… been up since 3:45 am. Kind of tired.
It’s gonna be a long day :coffee::coffee::coffee:

DH wants to go out for dinner tonight to get away from the ringing doorbell while the neighborhood kiddos trick or treat. (We are kind of over that phase)

Will see what Ivy’s looking like later today to make that call.
(I say we just hang out in the basement and can’t hear the doorbell) :p:p

Have a safe day all :cat:

Good morning Staci.
Sorry that you had to get up so early!
Hope Ivy will have a nice steady day today.
I totally understand about being over the t/t phase.
We are in the same boat, although we don't get many here. Our street isn't very "cost-effective" for kids.
Our area is hilly and the homes are higher than the side walk on our side of the street, so they have to go up and down the stairs a lot
The door bell scares the kitties so we keep the porch light off. ;)

Hope you will have a peaceful evening! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

That’s good that your home isn’t worth the walk up the hill, Kit.
At least it reduces the attempts from the die hard tt’s ;)

Our neighborhood is flat and has lots of kids and we do turn off the lights outside, but we still get doorbell rings. (Duh, we aren’t answering)

I used to do the whole thing but it scares Ivy now and frankly I’m just too tired to deal with it.
It disrupts our dinner, I’m constantly up and down to the door for several hours.

At this point I don’t have the energy with what is going on inside my house (grumpy old lady here):stop:
Plus the cost!! Ouch.
I used to buy bags of candy with about 250/300 pieces to keep up with demand.

Soooo, will see what today brings!
Have a nice day, Kit :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I totally get it, Staci.
With a small number of kids we get here (maybe 30ish), the interruption gets too much.

Ditto here! :joyful:

I know! I couldn't believe how much more they cost this year!
They say that it's 40% up since 2020. 40%!!!!! :eek::eek::eek:
And I swear, they are smaller too.

Well, hide well today! Wishing you and Ivy peaceful Halloween! :bighug:

Ugh, hoping you get a nap today! My dad used to disconnect the doorbell on Halloween, once we were older...LOL--

Sorry about your short night! I think I would crush that alarm, I cannot function with no sleep! :bighug:
happy halloween to you as well, I hope Ivy lets you go out! Where I live now it is very quiet, 10 kids max, i guess, but we used to live in a very busy neighborhood when my kids were little!

Thanks, Cecile, I don’t do well with lack of sleep either, so that’s why this is so difficult for me. I’ve always been someone who needs a lot of sleep and this is exceptionally hard on me. I’ve never been someone who liked getting up early in the morning and now my alarm is 5:30 AM every single day. It’s truly the hardest thing I think I’ve ever had to do. I know I’ve said it before, but I don’t think having had babies was this difficult. :arghh:

Hi Staci,

on my, 03:45 is way too early. Sorry, you are tired today. :coffee: Might be still the depot from the 3.75 IU?

I love the thought, that you are hiding from the neighborhood kids in the basement. :) To celebrate Halloween is kind of new in Germany and around ten, fifteen years ago the first kids started to roam the neighborhood. It happened to me quite some times, that I opened the door because I forgot about Halloween and thought it is Amazon or something like that. It is really not nice, to stand in front of little draculas and ghosts and their parents with empty hands.

So thank you for reminding me to ignore the door bell! :joyful:

Hope you have a quiet evening in the basement or some nice restaurant and a calm night with Ivy! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Staci , you've been up since 3:45 AM , you have to be totally exhausted. I feel bad for you :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Go hide out in the basement is right.
Order take out and let your husband sneak out to pick it up. I hope tonight you will be able to get to sleep at a decent time and Ivy behaves :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:

Hi Heike, that’s so funny that you answered your door and didn’t realize there were kids wanting candy. What a great story!! I love that!
Yes I am quite tired today. We just came back from a quick dinner out. About 5 minutes away. We were back in under an hour. (I did it to make DH happy). Now we will hide in the basement with Ivy and watch some tv. I’m sure I will fall asleep.
Ivy is lounging in her bed in her room, perfectly happy waiting for my visit.

I’m glad to hear that Binie is feeling good and just enjoying herself.
I hope you had a quiet night and are keeping well now :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks for your sweet support. We had a quick dinner out and are have a quiet night in our basement.

All good! And Ivy is surfing along. Hoping I can get in bed once her snacks are done.
Hope you had a quiet night, too.
