Mom and Onyx never met in life. Mom was wheelchair bound by the time I adopted him. But she loved cats and when I was little raised Himmies and Persians. So I would always email her pictures of my cats and she kept two "brag" books of photos. One titled My Grandbabies and the other My Grandkittens. lol And I swear she pulled out the Grandkittens one the most.
She started me on the path of rescue As a kid I grew up in a house full of rescued animals. At one point there was an orphaned lamb on the mud porch, a 3 legged squirrel in the kitchen, 2 baby raccoons in the barn, a crippled Great Horned Owl on a perch in the living room and pair of baby Turtle Doves out in the chicken coop. All that on top of 10 kids (2 of her own, my sister and I, 2step kids, and 6 foster kids), 12 horses, 4 CFA breeding Persian cats and a couple CFA breeding Himalayan cats and lord only knows how many cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, kittens, neighbor kids etc. lol And she held down a full time job as well as ran the farm after dad died when I was 12
Onyx full name was Onyx Midnight Voodoo he had a microchip that told me he was a registered Domestic Long Hair and his registered name but his previous owner never updated their info so I couldn't track them down.
