i increased to 1.75 fat. he was starting to come down a little bit. we actually had a yellow +8 but i think yesterday the little shitten ( to coin a term from Mel)
might have gotten into some contraband. i let him into the main part of the house ( i have to do cat air traffic control because this one does not play well with that one and the other one fights with another ) anyway...... i let him into the main house and i hear a rustling. That little "shitten" had gotten into a closed cabinet and i find him with his head in a bag of meow mix !!!! I think i caught him before he ate any but even one sends his numbers sky high. i hope that is why he went up instead of down today. Tomorrow will tell. If all of his reads tomorrow are still high, then up to 2 we go. ughhhhhh. I have to get this child into good numbers soon. Ketones are negative and his behavior is great. You would never know he had high blood sugar. i know the meter is working cause i test it on myself. I would give anything just to see blues........

Why is that cats love things that do them harm Remi has asthma yet loves chewing on plastic bags, wrappings that make his asthma terrible! At least you caught Tibbs quickly. How do they manage to get into these closed spaces! It sounds like you have few kitties but maybe you could tip the cat food bag into a lidded plastic container and the put that in the closed cupboard.

Love the kitty picture in the UK we don't really do Halloween but I have bought some sweets just in case so,e children come over. If not I will just have to eat them all myself :lol:

Hope today brings good numbers.

I've got the same problem with Saoirse and Lúnasa (aka The Noodle), despite everything I've tried. Noodle needs to be an only cat (she's wonderful with people but aggressive to Saoirse - used to try to stop her getting to her food and the litter box). I feel like carp for not being able to provide the bestest life for her. With Saoirse's diabetes and the move to the new accommodation soon, it has forced the issue and I'm going to have to find her a new home. I feel shrivelled up inside.

I'm glad to be going to a new place, but I wish it was somewhere I owned because I'd be able to work out something to keep us all together. I've had my little mikly-pawed girl for eight years, ever since the day I found her at 5 weeks old frozen to the spot on a windowsill in the town where I worked at the time. Her baby photo's below:

I've fought so hard to keep my little family together. I don't want to lose her and I feel like I'm having to abandon my child. :cry:

oh Áine. i'm so sorry. does the new place not allow 2 pets or is there just not enough room for the 2 of them? no way to keep them in separate rooms? sometimes it is the best we can do for them to find a home where they can be an only cat. i hope you find a great place for Noodle but i know how much it hurts. i'm so sorry Áine.

maybe try talking to them. I know it probably won't matter but it would be worth it to give it a try.
Let them know that Saoirse is a special needs kitty and that is why you have 2 of them. Maybe, maybe, maybe
they will have a heart ???? I hope so !!!!
I am going to send prayers and vines so hard that they will let you keep both of your kitties.
