10/30 Rusty PMPS 187, +4.5 206

Good Morning, Everyone,

Wow, this new dose seems to have really kicked in--maybe too much kicking in! I shot the 74 because I assumed that I had at least 4 hours before onset (Levemir). Wrong! It looks like I shot a dropping number. At +2 fed a teasp. of FF T&G (which tends to raise Rusty) and put a drop of Karo in it for good measure. Rusty has been very low-key this morning (a continuation of the last 2 days on the new dose of 2.0 U; I attributed his lower energy to the cold and the possibility that he was recuperating from his trip). This is the 5th cycle on 2 U.; maybe this dose is a bit too high? Maybe do a skinny 2 U. this evening? We'll see what happens over the course of the day.
Rusty enjoyed his breakfast of Wellness Turkey (4%). The sun just made an appearance and I hope we'll be able to go outside when it gets warmer this afternoon.

Hi again, +3 (after the FF T&G plus Karo) seems to be holding in the same range as +2. I gave him another teasp. of FF T&G plus Karo).

This has all become so "unfamiliar"! Stu used to dive, but Rusty has usually been very consistent.

Hi again,
Rusty seems to be surfing along. Onset should have begun and we are continuing to keep a close eye on him. Fed him his usual lite lunch (Wellness Turkey, about a tablespoon) at +5.5. We went outside briefly before lunch. It was a little chilly, but the sunshine was warm. Rusty disturbed the chickadees at their lunch. At the moment he is in his usual post-lunch spot: chillaxin' inside his cube in the sun. I'll be doing a +7 in about 45 minutes and then, hopefully, will be able to go out for a walk.
Edward is baking Hungarian potato bread for our progressive Halloween dinner tomorrow (yep, the beans are having a progressive dinner, too). It needs to sit overnight.

Wow, I had to do a double take at first glance at rusty's Condo. Go Rusty and surf away! The FF T & G keeps him surfing. Bread baking, how nice!

Hi again, surfing the 70s this afternoon. We went out for about 1/2 hour to sit in the sunshine and watch (and be watched by) the chickadees and a song sparrow. Rusty had his usual boiled chicken snack at +9. I am so pleased to see these numbers today. The low 50s were a little low for my comfort, but Rusty handled them (with a little help from FF T&G) just fine. Now we'll see what will happen next!!!

Now how fantastic is this!!!!! What a lovely surf he has going....will he drop again later or I think you said his nadir on lev is about 5.5??

I hear you on shooting those dropping numbers.....even on lev it's a little nerve wracking; yes you have more time to bring them up but I don't like giving carbs so early in the cycle to do so.

Super job!!!

Hope you have a wonderful progressive Halloween party. Tobey and Gracie are madly preparing their costumes. They can't wait to get to Camp Stu and see Teddi Bear through veil and all the other GAs.

I guess we have a bounce going. Interesting that PMPS tonight is the same as last night. I shot the full dose (2.0 U. Lev.) and we'll see what happens next.
Edward and Rusty had a great, vigorous play with MJ's butterfly wand after Rusty's dinner. Now Rusty has settled down for the evening on the couch, waiting for us to come to watch Masterpiece Mystery.

Zener is following in Rusty's paddy paws and bouncing at his PMPS too. And we will be settling down to watch Masterpiece Mystery too. Zener would like more cats to be featured!
