His numbers were looking better last night for sure. Today he is at least starting blue, so maybe he's headed in the right direction. I'm so glad that he's eating okay - takes one big worry off of you!

OT: Interesting about the smog info. Where did you learn that? We drive our cars a lot, so I guess we've always done it, but I'll have to tell DH to be sure to try it before he smogs the Mitsubishi he's been rebuilding for the past three years! Thanks.
 
Wonderful improvement! Looks like it definitely wasn't the pen that had gone bad. Strange random hiccup he seemed to have. Hopefully he's on the mend now from whatever ails him. Lots more vines and purrs just in case!

I learned about the smog info because I don't drive a lot and my car failed because it didn't complete the self checks. The tech said I have to drive 100 mikes in three days. Then I called the dealer service manager and he told me all. So I'm wasting gas and driving in circles and cause pollution to prove my car isn't a polluter. If it fails Minday I have to give it to my mechanic and he will gave it driven until it will pass. Hopefully. I'll have to rent a car and pay whatever it takes to make it pass. Stupid government. :banghead: This morning I went on a drive after Max got his insulin at 7 and made it 10 miles . That direction was moving but the other was bumper to bumper. It took me until 8:15 to get back home on a surface street. If I took the freeway back it would have taken much longer. I'll try tomorrow and Sunday.
 
@Tricia & Cinco , I forgot to mention this smog check issue is new. They didn't used to check the self checks and lots of cars are having issues now that never did before. This was a first for me. The lesson from my experience is get the cars tested early in case there is a glitch.
 
Sending a plane load of 'get back to normal' and 'feel better' vines to Max.
It is always a worry when we know things are just not quite right....we know our kitties so well.

Well my afternoon attempt at 2:00 to drive failed plus I nearly got hit head on. There was too much traffic so I turned around. I drove a few miles only to have an idiot who thought he was going to get past a few cars come into the lane I was driving in and nearly hit me head on.

So Max came in to ask where us my dinner. I tested him and went to get food but forgot his fd treat. He didn't touch the food and came back to me. So I gave him his fd and tge he cleaned his plate. Real creature of habit.

Goodness. They ought to have some sort of mileage cutoff for cars that need to pass the self test. Seems silly for a car that doesn't do any high mileage running around.

Max. So cute on waiting for dessert before starting his dinner! He has you trained well, Elise.

Sounds like he's feeling better. The vines will keep coming 'til MaxMan is back in his normal numbers.

Good work Max not letting the bean get away with ripping you off like that! Also your numbers are looking better so keep that up.

The smog test thing is pretty insane! We used to have a tax law that had people who had work supplied cars driving round like lunatics just before tax time to get their kms up and save a few dollars in tax - common sense finally prevailed on that one and they amended that part of the law.
