We have a little bit of a bounce this morning - mid yellow: 248. I shall not complain - after last nights ride, and a great AM cycle too. Last night Mannie sure liked the 50's though - took lots of gravy to keep him there. :-D Since I didn't really have a rising number without HC fed, I elected to go with a LC/MC blend at +7.5, and maintained his normal +9 with LC. Not too surprised to see the 248 - I'm glad it's not higher. :-D

Mannie is well this morning - 3 p's present. who knows on the LB.... :roll: He made sure I put on the right clothes: his bean was a little blurry eyed. I love being supervised in the morning - he just never misses. I either gets lots of purrs and led rubs, or I get that stare that says try again. :shock: He's napping with the nanners as I type - hoping that he can sleep today without all those pokies. Breffis #1 and #2 eaten - another new one: SophistaCat Mariners Catch - 0% carb. Another hit - then again I swear he loves everything.

Hey Mannie, You did it again last night!! Kept your mamabean on her toes (and kept yourself on your toes, too!!). Now, let's get down to some nice blues or high greens, because you've got lots to do today to get ready for the Halloween party. Specialties to cook, costume to plan, and then the KTS will want to make another visit to Buzz today.

Hi Michelle, Those lines of cups of coffee get longer and longer! Yes, I certainly remember when Tess got the idea for the KTS and she and Mannie (and I think it may have been Buzz) took chicken soup to Stu. It was right around the time of Stu's first really giganticum hairball.
You ask about my Halloween costume: I'm going as a "bag lady"--made a whole-head mask out of a paper bag. I'll be able to wear a hat inside the bag because it's cold and damp with snow/sleet flurries and the same is expected for tomorrow.
Have a good day today and get in a few naps. Take a clue from Mannie!!

ok, i've seen both many times in your posts...but can't decipher the meanings, so i'm going to ask...KTS- know it's the chicken soup squad, but what do the initials stand for? and NCIC- binks swears that it's not mannie checking in on his arrest records, but...?

DJ Jazzy Binks is spending his every moment getting ready for the big event...trying and discarding outfit after outfit...going thru his music collection to make sure that the background selections will be JUST RIGHT for Fright Night...he's beside himself with excitement...(so much so that i'm tempted to line the floor with piddle pads, just in case) :lol:

Ella- i love the bag lady idea! we can picture you as Trudy from lily Tomlin's Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe...

Mornin' Ann! survived, yes. a little on the tired side this morning, well duh, huh. Looks like Mannie is planning a day of rest today - fine by me! I hope I can take a morning walk in a bit - need to get things moving here, and clear the brain fog....

Hi Ella! Bag lady - very good! Not so good on the weather, but I would guess that that is normal for upper NY state this time of year. I do love cold and snowy weather - even more so now that I don't have to try and get to work in it. :-D and yes on the coffee lines.... :lol: :lol: :lol: Love it, and it does fire the jets that are severely non-functional this morning. :roll: I do believe you are right on Buzz and the KTS - i just wasn't sure. Naps?: I really do need to add those to the day's line-up....

Miss Ella! WOOT on the party - it will be so grand... !!! I borrowed my uncle's your bus and got it all decorated and stuff. It is da-bomb but not too scary for all the kitties - some get really scared and I just want them all to have fun - bus is so cool - we can travel all together. I was thinking that maybe we could wind up the last stage of the party at camp Stu - would that be OK? I think the barrier for the veil will be thinnest there... yeah last night was a bit much - I am so elated to have numbers like those - but it was work, late work, he just did not want to leave the 50's - and that was with HC and gravy. Sheessshhhhh Mannie...

On the KTS: "Kittenhood of Traveling Soup" - phrase coined by Ann, after the second run those kitties made with their over-sized over-filled sloshing pot of soup. Stu was the first recipient.

and the NCIC: "New Chef in Charge", coined by Deb, when I was struggling with what to call Mannie when he assumed some of Chef Stu's duties.

I can just visualize Binks tossing outfit after costume, searching for the perfect one. :lol: You gotta love this stuff - and thank anyone and everyone for humor.

Binks! YES on the music stuff!! keep searching dude! The tour bus is equipped with an awesome sound system. My uncle is a lead guitarist and well he needs his tunes, ya know. This will be so cool... Hey - we need a name for our traveling party. Fright mobile? nah.... Halloween express? nah... I need to work on that. See you soon! ~~ Mannie

Hey Mannie, Of course you can wind up the party at Camp Stu! Make sure you have snow tires on the bus!!! You are right that the veil will be thinnest at Camp, so Chef Mannie and Chef Stu can share their party recipes and maybe even bring their tasting spoons and do some sampling. It will be great fun for all the kitties.

It seems like Mannie likes these runs of blues and greens and then needs to catch a breather with some yellows. I hope he turns that +2 around soon, though.

Great report on Mannie and he had such an awesome day yesterday...I bet he'll clear this in no time!

I may have to get some of those Sophisticat 0% foods altho Gracie really needs to stay away from fish as much as possible. Glad Mannie likes them.

Mannie..I can't wait for the party and the tunes and tour bus!! Wow..my very first LL Halloween party and we can end up at Stu's camp? Cool...BUT even though
I was born in Canada...I'm very used to AZ temps...sounds COLD there!! lubs you Mannie...can I be on kitchen krewe?

275 @ +5. yep we are on a yellow resting phase today. I am glad to see him slowly coming down from the 299: just a bit close too the pink floor.

Hi Sienne - sure seems like it - we have these glorious cycles, and then one where he just hovers in the yellows, almost like he needs to regroup. Fine by me, gives me some regroup time too. :-D

Pat! happy morning... I have yet to find time to visit other condos today - I hope Shad-O has left the red floor. paws crossed!

Thanks Tena - we do try. though I have blown a few... :lol: only down side - alot of work, but so worth the effort.

Hey Ele - oh so agreed! He's "resting" which for me is good. I was able to take a morning walk through the woods to the shoreline, brought up the sun, watched the next weather system form out over the sound. glorious colors there this morning. So Mannie - your bean thanks you!

Morning Marjorie! aiyee - yes, we were dishing out he fuds til midnite last night. @-) @-) Mannie does really like the SophistaCat - especially the turkey and giblets one: down the hatch. I like the 0% carb. :-D

Gracie - yes you are on the kitchen krewe!! pssstttt - keep a secret, but part of our party is in the SW desert, for grillin' and flambe'in: quail and lizards - stay tuned for details... and yes on the bus! TUNES!! ~~ Mannie , NCIC

Blackie - yes on camp Stu - it is our last stop, and we will wind up our party there. On Halloween the veil is the thinnest, and we can be so close in spirit to all our GA friends. Camp Stu is magical, and well - we just had to wind things up there, so we can be with Stu and Bear Man and so many of our friends from the other side. I miss them so much too. oooo! The studio! now that is fun. and enjoy Petsmart: don't buy out the store. They recently revamped ours - thank goodness. The old one was terrible and had an even worse selection, so I had stopped going. I went the other day in search of SophistaCat, Merrick, etc and was pleasantly surprised. They now have extensive stock of just about anything, and really well organized. YAY! I will be back.

Bear Man will be there to hang out with Stu, and Teddy will be there, dressed as a black cat. It's his favorite day of the year.

Uhh, Mannie - are you trying to get Emma's attention? You're hanging out in her territory today, so I'm guessing that must be what you're up to. You two need to get out of the yellows and pinks!

Emma is being a little persnickety about dressing up for halloween this year. The droolers always get dressed up, and love to sit at the front door as the kids come around for candy. Charlotte will be a butterfly and Dory will be a bumble bee (we have 2 costumes, and they trade off each year). Emma thinks they look ridiculous and won't have anything to do with dressing up. I think she's just being a stick in the mud!

Ann - right you are! he has a tendency to give me BLIP at +9, often it is the high point of the day. :? I wonder if it would help to change the snack/mini meal he gets at +9 to +8. ??, might give that a shot, as see if it helps.

Miss Linda? I am SO HAPPY to know that Bear man will be there with Stu. that is so cool. They say that on the day when the veil is so thin, if you have the right place, that you can see your friends from the other side. I hope they are right: we have the day, we have the place. Hi Kristen! That explains it! I had forgotten Mannie promised to go and hang out with Emma, and talk about how great the blues and the greens are. No doubt he is busy doing just that: hanging out with a friend, no matter what color they are. How great for your droolers! I can just see them all decked out - what fun!

The excitement here is building for tomorroow night! Moonie & Copper are ready with their costumes...The stage is Set!
Moonie & the Cat Chorus will be singing "Somewhere over the Rainbow" for Stu, Latte, Kasha, Bear man, Pippin,Tuscany and all our dearest friends on the other side ...
The costumes, the food, and the kittenhood of the Traveling Cats will enjoy their first multi location Party!!
