On alphatrak 117 is a green! I had a high preshot this evening so I thought that Lovey might be going lower than usual. Her nadir is usually earlier so she probably was lower. Unless she is having a later nadir? I have not done testing in AM for 2 days since my husband was so busy at work .. no lunch break.


Also, how long do most people use their Lantus vial?

I've seen people say a Lantus vial can last up to 6 months, but I got almost a year out of Furball's first vial. If you don't shake it and keep it cold, it can last a long time. Just check for floaties each time. If you see something floating in it, it needs to be replaced. If Lovey's numbers start getting really wonky, you probably need to replace the vial.
 
Thanks Carla. I only have had it about 6 weeks, but I had to throw away my last one because the sub vet shook it vigorously and I was afraid it wasn't good anymore so I have no more refills. I have to get another prescription.
