Kazi ate the 1/2 can I offered her for breakfast. :-D She is very congested this morning, really thought she wouldn't touch it but she ate with a bit of enthusiasm. The running trend seems to be that her congestion improves during the day and then in the mornings is worse. ???

I am trying not to overwhelm her with food after not eating anything except the 4 tsp or so a day I syringed in. I am assuming we take it easy with intake today...instead of the normal 3 cans offered I was thinking a total of 2? She is normally around 9 pounds.

A good appetite is a great sign!! I'm not sure if it works the same for kitties, but I know if I have a cold I am often more congested in the AM. It seems that getting up and around helps clear it up a bit.

Keep getting better Kazi!!

Fed her the second half of the can at +3...was enthusiastically eaten. I won't stop worrying until the congestion clears and she's been eating well for a couple of days...but gosh its nice to see her EAT! I was conservative with her insulin this morning - skinnied it down some so that if she didn't eat later we wouldn't nose dive. The Vet recommended a half dose to start, I am thinking we will likely be back at her normal dose for tonight if she continues eating well.
