I just learned of Semglee insulin that I am told is similar and interchangeable to Lantus. Has anyone switched from Lantus to Semglee? What are your thoughts, experiences? I would like to change since the cost is so much less than Lantus but thought I should do my research first. Any opinions and experiences shared are greatly appreciated.

I haven't personally made the switch, but have looked at lots of spreadsheets who have switched from Lantus to one of the cheaper biosimilars - Basaglar, Semglee, generic insulin glargine. Not really any noticeable changes.

I have also seen many members switch to cheaper biosimilars and have not noticed any noticeable changes

The 5 pens will last about a year
Its generic lantus

I see some members will call CVS, Rite Aid, Costco, Walgreen's, to get the price for 5 pens
