Good Morning, Everyone,

We have another dark, chilly, rainy morning. The weather has been like this for days now and is supposed to last into the weekend. Then it's supposed to get really cold. Rusty is taking advantage of the heat being on and is napping in his little bed by the radiator. He had a good night sleeping with his beans, a good test, a good shot, Wellness Turkey for breakfast. He may be bouncing a little from lower numbers last night, or his AMPS may reflect eating the remainder of his nighttime food too close to AMPS. We'll see what the day brings.

Today I had toyed with the idea of climbing one of the smaller mountains with some friends, but the final ascent is a rock chimney and I don't relish doing that on wet rocks. And the weather is so locked-in that it is doubtful that there would even be a view. So I will do household chores and try to make a dent in the junk mail. (I don't like to just throw it away without first taking off our names and address; therefore it piles up because I hate this task!)

Nice start for Rusty today. I hope he can find his way to the lagoon - it needs it's master. Right Rusty? Mannie is with you: he too is all snuggled up in his bed, though I keep getting the look "when are you turning on the heat????" :lol:

Major bummer on your weather! Makes me feel guilty: we still have all sunny afternoons, prediction is that this will last for at least another 10 days. We get that morning marine layer, but by 11 or so we are sunny, hitting 65/70. so unlike us! I will send the extra your way.... :-D

And I so hear you on the hike/climb. Climbing wet rocks is so not my thing... and in the rain to boot. uh no. I don't mind rain hikes, some can be nice... and yes on the views being socked in. alot of work if one cannot see anything. well maybe a local lowland one then?

Enjoy that junk mail task! Ugh. But a n necessity!

Hope that's just Rusty having food to close to shot time and he gets to some low blues and some greens today.

I'll trade weather with you any time. We need that moisture around here.
I think you guessed right on my daughter's sickness, seems to be bacterial.... food related.

I hear you on the junk mail. I have refused to buy a shredder ($90 and won't last long enough) so I keep all the pertinent statements and tear off a strip at a time for
different trash bags. :lol: How's that for OCD? :-D

Hi Ella, sounds like a good plan on calling off the climb and waiting for better weather conditions. I have my a/c on now, and Rusty is in his bed by the radiator. :-D There should be a way you can send us some cool and us send you some warmth. Have a nice day.

Hi guys .. bummer to hear about your weather, but I'm sure rusty likes the heater on .. Good idea to be safe and stay home instead of climbing up wet rocks .. We bought a shredder on e bay for 80.00 I think several months back .. it works like a champ and takes the worry out of throwing away things with our names on them .. have a great day!

I hope it's just another overnight food spike. Sounds like he is happy sleeping by his radiator.

Wise move to stay home from the climb. Not fun in that kind of weather! Ugh on the junk mail and you do need to go through it before shredding, too many insets w/ junk on them! We have a pile too.

Hi again,

It looks like a bounce. Rusty probably went a bit lower last night than he has lately. This morning we had some good play with Auntie Lindabean's glitter wand, various mice, and the bell balls. Rusty had just come in from looking for critters (disappointed). So I thought it was a good opportunity to get him to start playing again. I was right. He played vigorously. Settling into "winter mode"! Lunch (more Wellness turkey) has been consumed and another nap is in progress.

I couldn't bear to go through the junk mail (I shouldn't really call a lot of it "junk", since it comes from charities we support). It sits in 3 large heaps on the floor of my study. We have a shredder, but we reserve it for things that really need to be shredded. Otherwise we would need a commercial-size shredder. In any event, I have "shelved" this project for another day.

Off to do some shopping. bbl,

Come on down Rusty! A day at home sounds like a good idea. I get ya on the junk mail. We finally broke down and bought a shredder. I about killed it last weekend shredding junk we have kept forever. Three large garbage bags later and we are caught up. My new goal is to go in there EVERY day with the daily mail and ditch it right away. 2 days in and I'm still doing it!

Hi again,

Rusty broke his bounce and has been coming down steadily, but not steeply. Good boy! He and Edward had a good play with the bell balls this afternoon, and he wanted to keep on playing the whole time we were having dinner. It's nice to see him doing more than taking an occasional swat at his toys. This evening he had a good test, shot, and dinner of Wellness Chicken. He's in his basket, waiting for the debate to begin. He wants to hear the candidates promise: "a chicken in every pot".

It's good to hear Rusty is being so playful. Nice PMPS. Maybe you'll see some green tonight.

Awe, it's nice to hear that Rusty is having a blast with his toys:) I laughed out loud with your comment regarding Rusty's wish for a chicken in every pot! I hope his wish comes true!

Way to come back down to the low blues Rusty. You'll be dabbling your paddy paws in the green lagoon in no time!
 
You mean you dont like all that junk mail??? :lol: :lol: Isnt that why they made shredders in the first place???

Rusty is holding nicely in blue Lagoon with his buddy Moonie, who took a slight dip into the green for a moment today ;-) --Glad he played with you today, wish Moonie would..
