Good Monday, Everyone,

I hope that Rusty isn't going to continue this morning yellow trend! I made sure the meter and strips were not cold this morning, so I guess it's the cat. He may be slightly under the weather (his chronic upper respiratory congestion). Anyway, we had a good wake-up call with kitty headbutts, our test, 2 sittings of breakfast, a good shot as far as I could tell, and now a nap on his test spot. It's pretty damp and gloomy out at the moment, but it may improve and the paddle is going anyway. Edward, however, will not be on it. He isn't feeling up to par (didn't sleep last night), so I am going alone and letting him catch up on his sleep. He and Rusty can hold the fort.

The group is paddling today across Middle Saranac Lake to Weller Pond and Little Weller Pond and back. This is a gorgeous paddle, if you can see the mountains. Today we might not see them, but it will be nice anyway. I plan to be back by +9.5 or thereabouts.

Everyone have a good day. I'm sorry not to have gotten to many condos yesterday. The day got away from me (too much cleaning: never a good idea!!). Back this afternoon.

Continuing to send healing vines to Boris and Fiona, Zoe, Tableau, Tifli, Rocket, Tippie and to all kitties who need some.

Re: 10/3 Rusty AMPS 206

Hope Rusty and Edward feel better and have a good day of rest.

Hope you enjoy your paddle and the day clears up for you. It's pretty gloomy here today also.

Re: 10/3 Rusty AMPS 206

That's a lower # than yesterday, though. I hope that he and Edward feel better soon (sending tons of healing vines), and have a great paddle day! I think you'll see some blues very soon again. :-D

Re: 10/3 Rusty AMPS 206

Looks like Rusty's pancrease is still a bit panicky about the extra juice....just putting out some extra glucagon to try to keep things normal!

I just looked up your route....I guess I didn't know exactly where you were located....green as far as the eye can see - tranquil, gorgeous and priceless!

Re: 10/3 Rusty AMPS 206

Good morning! Come on down Rusty! Those blues look a lot better on you than yellow. Almooooossssssttttt there.

Hope Edward gets to feeling better! It will do him good to hang out at home with Rusty. Enjoy your paddle. Sounds like so much fun.

Have a great day Ella!

Re: 10/3 Rusty AMPS 206

Hey Rusty, I hope you feel better today. It sounds like a really nice paddle for you today with beautiful views. I hope both Rusty and Edward feel better. They can keep each other company. I tried a new food on Maggie that agrees with her numbers, too! It's the Friskies Special Diet, Turkey & Giblets, and she loves it. I know both Mags and Rusty love the FF T & G, but it spikes their bg's. Unfortunately, I only bought one can, and she's looking for some today, so I have to make a stop today at the pet store. Enjoy the paddle.

Re: 10/3 Rusty AMPS 206

Sorry to hear that Edward isn't feeling up to par today and I hope he gets better soon and the sleep helps!
I hope that lil' rusty does better for you too. Maybe the weather has him down, maybe it's him not feeling well. What ever it is, I hope that also goes away soon, too.
Have a nice paddle! I hope the weather cooperates for you. I'm very jealous that you get to do those things while I'm sitting here at my desk w/no hope of retirement soon! But I'm glad you are enjoying yourself, I can live vicariously (sp) through you and Michelle (Mannie's mom).
Enjoy your day!!!

Re: 10/3 Rusty AMPS 206

Maybe a nice quiet day together will be just the thing for both Rusty and Edward.

I hope the weather holds up for your paddle.

Fall is my favorite time of year to canoe but, tell Edward to have the hot cocoa ready when you return!

Re: 10/3 Rusty AMPS 206

Better today, Rusty!!! Have a nice blue surf while your beans are gone.

I hope you and Edward have a lovely, beautiful paddle day, Ella.

Can't tell you how much I truly appreciate all your support and comfort.

Tobey sends big hugs....

Re: 10/3 Rusty AMPS 206

I'm sure Rusty will surf some blues for you while your gone!!!

Sounds like you have a lovely day planned. I hope some rest will get Edward back to feeling himself!!!

Have a great day!!

Re: 10/3 Rusty AMPS 206

Hi My dears!!! Sorry to hear Ed & Rusty arent up to par!! Gee I'm gone for a day or two & so much I missed!!
Healing vines to them both--I am glad they can rest & you can go for a paddle..
I'm scared of canoes & kayaks..remember I fell out of a few of them in camp! One overturned with me underneath--EEEKKK!! Scary!   But I do appreciate the great beauty you get to see!
You know, Moonie starts some days in a low yellow, but then goes green by her nadir and sometimes after.

The Dawn Phenomena is that some cats bg's are just higher in the morning-natural occurring phenomena,
and i do believe Moonie is one of those--Cure for it?--I dont know, but we'd all like them a little lower--206 is so close to blue--Paws & fingers crossed for Rusty to get back to better numbers--Hugs & Love from us-Missed you!!

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for visiting Rusty (and Edward) while I was out on the paddle. When I got home they were outside in the garden and Shadow was there, too. He and Rusty just sit at a distance from one another and try to act nonchalant. A 2-point buck was in our neighbor's yard and he simply looked at me when I drove in and continued eating plants! Shortly thereafter Shadow got tired of sitting around and went galloping off. Rusty helped Edward and me put my canoe in the barn. Edward is fine (he was just tired this morning and regretted not going on the paddle); Rusty seems fine, too. It seems that he was surfing in mid-blue. I'd like to see him get back to the lovely greens of a few days ago.

The paddle was lovely. We had a lot of mist and clouds, but the wind was calm and the colors were beautiful and there was hardly any rain. We saw a flock of migrating geese, 2 loons, an osprey, and a bald eagle. We had lunch on an island in Weller Pond, sitting on rocks with carpets of pine needles at our feet.

Off now to visit a few condos.

Ella & Rusty

Hi guys - just a very quick HELLO!, and I hope all is well there. I miss being able to spend time with condos. Your paddle sounds great - and I am glad that Rusty and Edward had a good day.

Looks like Rusty has chosen blue for his color today... A very flat blue!
