Happy Sunday all

Muffin had a great run of numbers yesterday, I only wish the rest of the day had gone that well. There's finally some pee in Muffin's LB this morning - not sure if it was hers or not, but as far as I know she had NO LB action yesterday at all. She ate a slice of turkey for breffis. I left some wellness core dry out over night, and some of it was gone this morning, but, again, no idea who's responsible. Purring is the only P I'm positive of. Hoping today is better than yesterday.

Anne...great AMPS....we all really hope Muffin and you have a much better day today and she will eat and get in her other 4 Ps!

She has eaten 2 slices of turkey so far, buried the wellness core. I'm going to get some rotisserie chicken for her as soon as I get myself together and out the door and hope she just loves it!

Every day, I expect to come to her condo and see that she wolfed down some yummy wet food, that you found. Alas, not this morning, huh? I know there's something out there, after all you've tried only 998 of them. .....yeah yeah, not funny. :roll:
Hope she eats for you today. It has to be so frustrating.

+ 2 75!! A reduction number! She wolfed down a third slice of turkey just now, and is looking at me for more! Unfortunately, that was the last piece, so off I go shopping!

Angela, Marjorie and Kim - thanks for stopping by with good wishes. Maybe they're going to come true today!

Barb - Trust me, if and when that happens, it will be in my header! As soon as I can stop jumping for joy that is :lol:

So should I take this reduction, or wait for her to earn one when she's eating better? I know, I know, see how the rest of the cycle plays out. ;-)

Well, three slices of turkey is better than nothing! I hope the rotisserie chicken is a big hit with Ms Muffin! Maybe if you eat (or pretend to eat) a little first and make a big deal about how yummy it is? I remember somebody saying they did that and it prompted the kitty to eat....

Nice numbers anyway! I'm no help on the reduction, hopefully someone will come along with some help on that.

+ 3 92 The rotisserie chicken is a HIT! Thank you thank you thank you for suggesting it! I just kept piling it on the plate and let her eat her fill. (Of course Kibby and the drooler had to have some too) She ate a good amt of it. :RAHCAT I'm flip_cat right now! I just hope she didn't eat too much to upset her tummy, but one thing at a time, right? Now off to do the rest of the shopping.

Anne,
I was reading your post on health and noticed your vet said to only feed meat for the next week. Can you contact them tomorrow and tell them she is not getting enough food this way. ask him what he suggests? Just plain meat doesnt have the essential vitamins/nutrients a cat needs. That said, Latte had MANY stretches where she ate only things that did not provide vitamins/nutrients. I just think its a good idea to keep the vet in the loop and see what kind of feedback they have.

I had to drop Latte's insulin during her phases of not eating or vomiting a lot, then bump it back up as things got better. There are earned decreases, but also situational ones. Im sure you will make the best decision for muffin when looking at the overall circumstances.

I hope she likes the rotisserie chicken. I forgot to mention last night some places also have rotisserie turkey. :mrgreen: We have a place here famous to cats for their rotisserie chicken. I think they sell more of it for cats than people! :lol:

Ya, I used to occassionally sit down by the bowl and pretend to eat whatever I was giving Latte. :shock: Seriously! And sometimes, it worked! :lol: :lol: Whatever it took.

So happy to see that ATE! in the header! :-D That's awesome, Anne! So now you have two items that she will eat instead of dry food! YAY! Every step is good, even if it's a small one! You'll get there, little by little if necessary.

I hope it agrees with her tummy. nailbite_smile

You might try a supplement like Feline Future or Platinum. They supply all the nutrients missing from just meat. I use the FF and Tess will lap it up on it's own, mix it with water and mix the chicken in or just put it on the side and see if she will drink it. My order came really quickly or you can PM me your address and I'll send you some to try. It is fine to use w/ raw or cooked meat.

Let's hope she keeps liking the rotisserie chicken. Checkers loves the stuff.
Although it isn't a complete & balanced meal, it's a geat start to getting off dry. It's something other than turkey slices too. :smile:

Ann - thanks so much, I will PM you, only because she is so picky I hate to buy a lot of anything for her.

Laurie - thanks! I'm so excited! She is back under the dresser, but laying normally, not sitting up like when she really doesn't feel well. She ignored me at test time, I had to pull her out. I think she may have eaten to much too fast, but hope that, being just chicken, it should be gentle on her tummy and she'll feel better soon. It's definitely better than eating too much of the smoked turkey I would think.

Carolyn - The only reason the vet said to feed only the turkey and chicken is because she knows Muffin won't eat anything else, and really wanted her to not have dry food. I asked about the nurition thing, and she said for one week it should be ok.

pmps 102 Hmm...not so excited about the chicken tonight. She ate a little bit of turkey, but she did just have a pill shoved down her throat, (I had the neighbor come and help me so I don't miss another prednisone dose) so maybe she just needs to settle down for a few mins. Plus it's just out of the fridge, so she may wait for it to warm up a little. She doesn't seem to like it out of the microwave.

+2.25 147 Only ate about 1/2 slice of turkey at shot time, the other half now and a little chicken. She seemed not too interested in it until I put down wellness core dry, but I guess she decided if that was the option, she'd go ahead with the meat. Thinking her higher numbers at night may be due to stress from the 2 pilling sessions, as this is the only time of day now that she gets evil things done to her. Face is washed, and she's settled into her spot on the desk looking very sleepy. :smile:
