Looks like the cliff diving champ is back in her gold medal winning form! Was a little shocked at the +3 since she'd been running a little high today, but I guess I should know better than to be surprised by anything China does!
She's been such a good kitty lately...she's always been a very empathetic kitty and has always seemed to know when I didn't feel good, physically or emotionally, and does her best to make me feel better. This past week we've had a lot of talks and she's such a good little listener....never butts in and just lets me pour my heart and soul out to her (and never tells a soul either!)
Sorry for being gone so much lately, but between the drama with my son and the drama that's been going on at Mom's apartment building, it's just been a crazy week. There are 2 ladies in the building that have been complaining about one other lady ever since Mom's been there. They don't like that she's so "involved" in things over there and have complained to the point where the landlord asked her to leave.
This lady does have what I'll nicely call a "strong personality", but her intentions are only the best and she's been very helpful to a lot of people over there. She cooks holiday dinners for anyone who doesn't have family, keeps the garden looking nice and has done a lot of special things for the people there like decorating the halls for special days and making sure people get a card on their birthday but these 2 just won't stop giving the landlord grief. Because she does do so much, he'd been letting her have use of a big storage closet for the decorations and they're upset that she gets it, and she had arranged a morning coffee clutch in the dining room for anyone who wanted to come and they have complained about her "hogging the dining room"...nobody says they can't come and nobody would make them feel unwelcome if they came, but I guess they have nothing better to do than complain.
I worry that if she does end up leaving, it will leave Mom isolated and feeling alone again, and with winter coming on, it just adds another level of worry to my plate.
Anyway, hope you're all having a nice Friday! Tomorrow is Apple Festival in the little town I live in so for one day we go from about 1000 people to over 40,000 so it's quite a big event. Of course if you live here, it can be a royal pain! IF I wanted to go to the parade, by the time I made it back home, there wouldn't be anyplace for me to park for about a mile so I just stay home and wait it out!
