Condo from 10/1

Champ was acting like his old self this morning and I have no idea why. He tried to get me up before the alarm clock, actually jumped up on the bed and kept walking around on it, pushing at my hands so I'd scratch him...just like the old days!!! After he had his test/feed/shoot, he raced around the living room (which he NEVER does anymore!!) and then jumped up on his "diabetes station" where I keep all his equipment. I have a little plastic bowl I keep his lancets in and those went flying all over the kitchen floor, along with his meter, the extra food lids, my glasses, etc. I didn't even yell at him because I was so happy to see him running around and jumping on things!!! It's amazing how good it feels to see him being naughty!!!

I should have some time later this morning (early afternoon to you easterners) to visit condos. I hope you all have a really great start to your week!!!

Re: 10/3 Champ AMPS 320

Champ's looking mighty great lately! He hasn't shown you a high 300 in 6 days (I'm not counting that 400 #). I'm so glad to hear that his normal antics are coming back. I hope you folks have a great day!

Re: 10/3 Champ AMPS 320

So glad to hear he is feeling like the old Champ today. Come on down buddy....no pink floors today.

Hope today is not too crazy for you, my friend.

Re: 10/3 Champ AMPS 320

Loooooooove seeing reports of happy kitties! :-D :-D :-D He is obviously feeling good. Now to bring those numbers down nice and slowly, Champers! :-D

Re: 10/3 Champ AMPS 320, +3.5 226

So far so good with the slow decline...I just don't think he's getting down where he should be, though. I may have to add a drop to his dose but I won't worry about it until tomorrow morning and I'll make a decision then.

Re: 10/3 Champ AMPS 320, +3.5 226

Yay on a happy spunky Champ! Numbers mean nothing when he is acting like that. So sweet. :-D

Last night, DH crumpled up a piece of paper as he was working on something and Tarragon came sprinting from the other room and sat right in front of DH. DH threw it and Tarragon played with it for an hour, stalking it, carrying it around in his mouth, batting at it. I haven't seen him do that in well over a year. Those are the moments that make all of this worthwhile.

Have a wonderful day Patty! I am so glad Danielle is ok. Just keep your eye on it. Hugs!!!

Hi Patty, that is so exciting to see Champ so playful and jumping onto the testing station and wanting attention. He must be feeling pretty good and nice coming down at the 226, too!

On the FF T& Giblets, it is actually 7% carbs. It was Jacsets - I don't think I spelled the name right that looked into it, and someone else also did a Google search or called Purina. Yes, 7% after they changed the formula. No wonder it spikes our kitty's bg's! I was using it as a mc, and so were a few others here. But the Friskies special kitty is 5%. It says on the can though that it's for cats with UTI's, and I asked someone at Petsmart if it was still okay for a diabetic kitty and she said yes. It just may make her pee more. I then went over to the Petsmart Veterinary area and had someone ask their Vet, and they didn't want to say one way or the other. They recommended their prescription food though!

Re: 10/3 Champ AMPS 320, +3.5 226

So glad to hear that Champ is feeling frisky this morning. I giggled a little bit about the lancets and food lids all over the floor ;-) . Hope the trend of feeling good continues and his numbers come down a bit!

I had to shoot Champ ten minutes early tonight. He's been hiding under the bed all day because we've had intermittent thunder. I heard the thunder starting up again and decided to wait for the first lull and then drag him out from under the bed and shoot him. It worked!!! Yay!! He even ate all his dinner. He's now sitting on my feet under my desk, waiting for the thunder to start up again so he can go hide. I fixed it so if he hides under my bed again, I'll be able to get to him easier. With such a low PMPS tonight (haven't seen that in a while!), I need to make sure I can get him to test him.

There must be something in the air, making all of our kitties spunky! My 16 year old, Mario, has been so full of spunk for the past several days...it's been very heart-warming. I'm glad to hear Champ is having a happy time, too - despite the thunder!
