Bear is doing much better today! He got SQ fluids at the vet because he was starting to get dehydrated, full bloodwork, and a few hours after we got home, he started eating! Yay! I didn't get the results for the bloodwork yet.

Normal appetite today and he's just cryyyyying to go sit on the porch and keep watch over the yard. No litterbox activity yet.

One scary thing: DBF gave him the shot last night after I was asleep and shot an 84!!! He didn't wake me up and tell me and he had no idea that you have to watch a number like that! (How long have we been doing this??????) I don't know how low he went last night but he seems to be fine today.

Either way, nice shooting last nite, I see one spotcheck, but now he knows right?

This is a nice AMPS, will there be any follow ups thru the cycle?

Re: 10/3 Bear AMPS 109

that was a pretty big spike in just an hour last night. could he have gotten a bad reading? what meter do you use? some (i don't know which) may give bad readings if there's too much or not enough blood, i think.

what time was SQuids (+x?) in relation to AMPS and PMPS, and how much did he get? SQuids can sometimes lower BGs.

when they call with the results of bloodwork, ask them to also fax you a copy (if you have access to fax machine) or to mail it to you, and start a folder with bear's bloodwork. i also ask for a copy of the medical chart with the notes for that day (meowzi has pet insurance coverage, we need that to submit claims), but even without insurance, the chart may come in handy when if you need to look back for reference, or if you ever have to rush him in to the ER.

glad he's feeling better and eating!

SQ was at 11AM on saturday which would be... +11 but I am pretty sure the PM shot got skipped so really it was + 23. No spot check during the cycle today, I was at work aaaaagain. Normal poos in the LB from both cats today and regular appetite restored so they must have gotten some kind of bug!
