AMBG 83

As I sit here holding back tears of joy, I cannot thank everyone enough for guiding us through this part of the journey. Everyone's compassion, understanding and patience are so much appreciated. I know it's not over yet as remission is not guaranteed. As with most of us, having a diabetic kitty was totally unexpected. Then, learning all about diabetes, deciding the best way to manage your fur baby, and figure out when to, or not to, take the advice of your vet, are all so overwhelming.

We are over-the-moon on Tango's remission. He has been such a trooper. And, yay.... we get to go away for a few day! I think losing his sister Chacha after 10 years made it harder for all of us.

If there's anything I can say for those that are new to this forum and diabetes, is that this group is amazing and CAN help guide you through your journey. Patience, positive attitude (even when it seems useless) and do your research!!!

Aww so sorry he lost his sister Cha Cha. Biggie became diabetic not long after he lost his sister in May to lymphoma.

My civvie Sylvester passed away at only 10 back in 2015, and he looked a lot like Cha Cha. He was a fluffy b/w tuxedo who loved to bare his fluffy white belly for rubs. He passed away very suddenly, and we think he threw a clot. His sister ended up having heart issues, too. There seems to be a link between HCM and long-haired kitties. Wishing you and beautiful Tango all the best!

Thank you Jackie. We really miss Chacha. Your Sylvester sounds a lot like her. She went quickly also. I haven't seen your condo this morning, sending hugs and prayers for Biggie:bighug::bighug::bighug:
