Good Morning LL ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (LOTS! I just love ~O) ), and Happy TUNA Tuesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is TUNA TUESDAY!!! In honor of Tuna Tuesday, once again Lola and Bug, aka Paw Prints Pizza, will make their famous triple tuna pies, with tuna and nip infused crust, tuna toppings, and now triple tuna infused cheese. YUMMMMMMMM! It's tradition!, and these pizza pies totally rock! As a side benefit we have TUNA WATER too! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized oranges and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are really good today too!

I hope everyone had a great Monday. Mine was great. It felt odd though not to have the boys yesterday. After a month of the revised schedule I was kinda on auto -pilot, expecting to go and get them yesterday... even though it's been a week I still got up thinking: Boys! ;-)  They will be back Wednesday, and that will be here soon enough. I was able to go hiking yesterday. The weather was extra nice, a perfect fall day: sun, temps in the low 50's. That makes for great hiking weather. Here's what I wrote last night about yesterday: "Hi everyone! I hope you ave had a good cheery cherry monday. Mine has been great. I did amke it hiking, just not the one I had planned. I had intended to go to the North Cascades, but after reading several reports of icy roads, too many accidents, roll over vehicles, I decided that maybe that wasn't the place for me, and onto my backup plan: Off to Skykomish, and Iron Goat. I have second guessed myself all day.... maybe I should have done SR20 and the Cascades. There were clear blue skies, and those mountains would have been stupendous. oh well... I am content with what I did today. It was so nice there. I made trailhead at dawn, and was able to watch the sun come up over the mountains. Was that ever nice. It has been a while since I have been able to make a mountain sunrise. Awesome. Hike was good too. I have always enjoyed this one. We had sunny skies, cool, at maybe 42/45, and the RR history there is incredible. There's something to be said for being able to walk the path that trains did back in 1893, see the things built in 1910, 1914. darn cool. There is section where you can still see the spikes in the ground. Anyways - a ton of fun. I logged 15.2 miles today, and did not tire. Freaking cool huh. : ) I climbed maybe 990 feet. Most of those miles are relatively flat, what with it being an old RR grade. So.... perhaps I did make the right choice today. Who knows, but it did work out well."   Picassa link: RR History: Iron Goat Trail

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   The kitties have been good kitties today - even Lola. Fancy that! Could this be a new leaf? Nah.... she's probably just planning the next mischievous romp.  On my return trip yesterday from the trail I wondered what would greet me at the door, as I knew I was a few minutes late: 8 as it turned out. So.... I opened the door, expecting foot stomping squinty eyed kitties. And... there was NO ONE!   Sheshhhhhh.... what happened to my welcoming committee? Bug showed up within 30 seconds. Good Bug! Lola and Elsa were MIA until I called for them. I told them all that the Blood Oath, about my never ever be late, was now null and void. Funny, they all gave me their back side and sauntered into the kitchen, and began a chorus of "feed me!" so I did.  I guess that blood oath only applies to one late human.... Silly cats. YUPP! Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone. Today is Seattle visit day with my friend in the early afternoon. WooHOO! I have a dentist appt in the AM, somehow I can't get excited about that. it's just a cleaning, but still....

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Hi Michelle,
Those are great pics of your hike yesterday. What an interesting hike! And 15+ miles in all!!! Good for you!!! You'll be wearing out your boots at that pace. It is neat that you were able to get there in time to see the sun rise.

All is well in Muskateerville, it seems. Enjoy your social Seattle day today,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. to Elsa: it is 19 degrees here this morning and your ~O) never tasted better! Thank you, Kitteh Barista!

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the pics. I just viewed that album through the link and half of the photos were missing. oh forbid! So I have started another upload to get there rest of them in the album. If you want, check back in a few for all the photos. There are some really cool ones of the RR tunnels. it is a great hike - lots of RR history, lots of miles... my boots will need a refurbishing!  The sunrise was nice. It's nice to have it so "late" in the morning (7:50), so I can make some of them. Yupp! Kitties are good. Though Lola just pulled down the ghost windsock, yet again.
Auntie Ella! 19??????????????????? OH NO! That is way too COLD! I am so glads I could help! You need more? I will bring some... ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barsta

Wow, 15 miles is something to be proud of! Especially since you were not tired! I bet the boys look forward to wednesdays just as much as you do .. bummer on the dentist appt .. hopefully he's not like my dentist who hunts around till he can find something to fix .. nailbite_smile

I think it was a good call to avoid that ice and traffic mess. How beautiful, especially with the sunrise over the mountains. ahhhh. Glad you had such a great hike.

Oh my on the kitties. What is up with that? Hmmmm. Good luck at the dentist. Even cleanings aren't fun as far as I am concerned. Then coffee in the city. Woohoo!! Have a great day Michelle!

Oh Michelle: You bring back so many memories. When I drove from NJ to WA I so enjoyed that adventure with a 47' rig, 11 cats and a rottieII so enjoyed that adventure. I toured an Indian reservation, the north rim of the canyon and also got up at 4 a.m. to see the sun come up in Theo. Roosevelt Nat'l Park. We did the loop and also saw the painted caverns. It was interesting that on the way there the only thing on the road was bison and us. Heidi was fascinated by the bison. It was a great adventure and so glad I did it. I so enjoy your posts about the sights in WA. It is a beautiful state, yes, rain but that's what makes it so pretty and green. Love your shots of Pike's Market. That place is fantastic. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

Wow....those are absolutely stunning photos!!

Oh, those kitties...they are totall trying to keep you guessing, what with them not being there to bring out the blood oath when you got home! Hmmmm...I'd be cautious if I were you...they HAVE to be plotting something!

Have a great day, Michelle!

What beautiful pictures. That's funny on the lack of a welcoming committee when you got home and the kitties reaction.

I hope you had a good visit with your friend today.

Hi Michelle,

The pictures were really beautiful :-D The waterfall, sunrise, what a great way to spend the morning. Your sunrise is even later than ours! I love seeing pieces of history - imagining what came so many years before us.

Nice to come home to a no mess welcoming committee too!

Hope you are having a good night!

Jane

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Tuna Tuesdays always rule! We did OK here. It has been darn cold, for us, in the AM: 37, but sunny in the afternoon, maybe 55 tops. Not bad. :-D I will take it and not complain.it sure beats all the fog we had the two weeks prior. I made it to Seattle. And survived the dentist - wooHOO there. But at least my teeth won't fall out of my mouth. HAHA, and good to go. I did see Barb, my coffee buddy, too. It is always nice to get together and chew the fat so to speak. Sometimes I do miss being downtown daily, working or whatever. well..... once in a while I do. She was telling me that one of the guys they hired in my old arena hasn't shown up for work for 7 days now. He emailed once stating he had personal issues to deal with, and they haven't heard a word since. The phone number for him doesn't work, the mailing address is bogus and he doesn't answer his messages or emails. Makes one wonder how well they checked this guy out before they hired him. Shesshhh! Do you believe that? I think they need to show him the door..... Other than that it has been a good day. I cleaned. how exciting is that?

Hi Devon - THX on the hike! it was fun, and I am slated that the distance didn't affect me too much. :-D THX too on the boys - In sure hope they do. Oh no on your dentist! I got lucky - nothing to fix. YAY!

Hi Melissa - I thought so too.... it just was not worth the risk to travel there, even as pretty as it was. THX too on the hike - so pretty! and i LOVED that sunrise. lol on the kitties - never a dull moment here... they do keep me guessing! I survived dentist, but I do agree with you. Just not fun. Seeing made friend made up for that. :-D

Hi Barbara - you are more than welcome! I am glad people enjoy this stuff, find something fun, good or whatever to read. I so remember your travel adventure. I can imagine all the endless possibilities: things to do, new things to see, explore and experience. THX for taking teh time to read all that isin these condos. It is appreciated!

Hi Amy - THX on the pics. I LOVE that hike - when the sun is out you just can't beat it. And the RR history is way cool. I like that part alot too. LOL on the kits! I d believe youa re right. Something is afoot. To miss a greeting and then no blood oath, well something is afoot. I can so feel it...

Hi Carla - THX on the photos. Such a nice day there, it brought out the best in the landscape. Do you believe it?: no welcoming committee! they truly did give me their backside. THX on today - it was fun.

Hi Jane - THX on the photos - I am glad you liked them.I agree too! it was a perfect start to the day. Nothing beats a morning sunrise, and to have it in that location was really nice! Me too on the history aspect of it all. Amazing stuff. ah yes.... on that welcoming committee!
