Artemis's Mood: Upset over vet visit
Artemis's Appetite: Showing signs of improvement after vet visit, actually ate entire portion meal given
Vet Update: Artemis originally had a vet appointment follow-up for bloodwork and urinalysis on 10/31 but due to ongoing concerns over his lack of appetite and weight loss, I went in as a walk-in for 10/29. Told the vet what has been going on for the past 7-8 days - more so on today with Artemis throwing up a lot in the morning of 10/29. After tests were done including an X-Ray, results showed Artemis has gas trapped/inflammation in his intestines plus he had lost 2 lbs. Glucose levels were in the normal range despite being elevated due to Artemis's stress at being in the vet clinic. He was given Sub Q fluids for dehydration and a Vitamin B12 injection for the appetite as well as Cerenia as an anti-nausea. Metronidazole was prescribed as antibiotic for the inflammation and more Proviable given for supplemental probiotics. He's up for another checkup in one week.
