Zener's appetite isn't the best this morning. It's always a little slow the cycle after we have to pull out the good fuds! ;-)
If it hadn't been the PM cycle and me jet lagged, I would have tried to ride out the numbers without the HC food. So, we'll see what the numbers show us today.

Happy Friday LL!

Re: 10/28 Zener AMPS 355

Hi guys .. I can understand the lack of appy after all the good fuds! It would be like us eating yummy cheesy pizza then getting brussel spouts shoved in our face  His appy will return ... Zener, please come down now .. have a great weekend!

Re: 10/28 Zener AMPS 355

Come on down Zener! It is no fun way up there.

I hope he comes down for you today. At least you got sleep and know what the higher number is from.

Have a wonderful day Anne & Liz!!

Re: 10/28 Zener AMPS 355

Glad to hear you made it back from your trip across the pond safely. I'm sure your boy missed your while you were gone.

Zener! Time to come down from up there and start eating more good fuds!

Please tell Liz thank you, and thanks to you too Ann, from Leo and I for being there for us during our hard time this week, i really appreciate it ;-)

Re: 10/28 Zener AMPS 355

Pink sunrises are pretty, but not when our kitties are wearing them! Why can't they make a really tasty low carb food?

Re: 10/28 Zener AMPS 355;+2 294;+4 339 A Trak

Looks like Zener may be bouncing from last night's blues... flip_cat

@Devon, thanks for the example of the good fuds for people. I get it now!

@Melissa, I was able to get some sleep so that was good. We were thinking of a dosecrease last night to fatten up to our last good dose, before the shave while I was gone, then got all this blue action. So, patience pants back on and we'll see what this dose can do.

@Tracy, I am very glad to be home. It was a long way to go for such a short time. Zener was glad to see me and had a little blue action to celebrate! I will pass along your thanks to Liz. We hope all is improving.

@Linda, I am with you about a tasty low carb food! We are so much more relaxed when Zener's appy is good. It's almost worse to deal with not eating than with BG numbers!

I thought initially it may have been a HC response, but now that he is higher at +4 than +2, thinking it is probably a bounce from last night's blues. Zener sure loves his trampoline!

Hey! Zener is a bouncy boy today--Hope he comes down for you & you see some nice blue today or tomorrow-
Fed Moonie MC this am to bring her up during a surf in the 60's & she did fine---But we'll see where she goes later  --We get used to these bounces, they are just a fact of life here in LL...
Have a great day Z> come down buddy-OK?? Hugs & lub from us!

Re: 10/28 Zener AMPS 355;+2 294;+4 339 A Trak

Thanks for the reassurance Roni. We think Zener seems extraordinarily bouncy, until we start studying other spreadsheets. ;-)
We'll keep paws crossed he doesn't stay in high numbers too long. Though he still seems to bounce often, the bounces don't seem to last the entire 6 cycles anymore. We'll tell Zener to follow Moonie's example! :-D

Hi Anne & Zener, just stopping in to say hi and hope Zener comes down! I love the way Devon described the lack of appy after the good fuds! Are you getting over your jet lag and feeling better? I think it would take some time. Scritches to Zener from us.

Re: 10/28 Zener AMPS 355;+2 294;+4 339 A Trak

Well, at least Zener and Jetta kept each other company on the pink floor today. Silly kitties!!!! Have a great evening Anne and Liz!

Thanks Ann for cheering Zener down. He's been in a pinky yellow flat land today after last night's lovely blue surf. His appy has picked up tonight, so we are really grateful for that! :-D

I suffer terrible from jet lag, and it doesn't matter how often I travel abroad, it's always a challenge for a few days. I was only in London less than 48 hours so my poor body is very confused about what time zone it is in. Should be good as new by the end of the weekend.

They must be conspiring together, the little rascals! Hope Jetta comes off the pink floor soon and very gracefully, no diving Jetta!

Good news - appy has picked up tonight! :-D
He has been getting some blue action with this dose so will ride out this bounce, and still consider fattening the dose, depending on the numbers.

We are so happy it's the weekend. Hope everyone has a good Friday night in LL!

Re: 10/28 Zener PMPS 295 A Trak

Glad his appetite is better and he's clearing his bounce. Also glad you all had time to catch some zzzzsss..

Have a great night!

Nice and easy does it. Thought we might be joining in Gabby's PJ party, but +2 was not a big drop tonight.

Kinda flatish yellow... bounce? or time for fattening back up? Would love some experienced eyes.

Think you may be seeing a little of both (response to those blues and the higher carb food). Some cats are more carb sensitive than others, ECID. It took me awhile to realize that my Thor's bg's were due to his higher carb FF. He spiked on the FF Beef that is a little over 9% and once I eliminated the FF Classics over 6% his numbers continue to get better and better. Definitely something to consider.

Thanks for stopping in and for the information.
We have struggled since diagnosis to get Zener on wet food and also struggle with appetite issues. He was lost about 3 lbs since his diagnosis and loses on average 1 oz per week. The 11% was the lowest carb we could get him to eat. Just in the last month or so have been starting to mix in to get a lower carb to 8-9%. We sure wish we could get him to eat the 6% or lower but not yet. We keep plugging along to reduce his carbs. Once we have to go to 13 or 17% we can see a spike for sure.
