I was really holding my breath as the meter counted down on that "+3ish" pokey test. Phew...Ms P showed up for duty.

I am definitely not liking Trixie's AMBG, nor her numbers trend from the past few days at all nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile . She did hit yellow a couple times while OTJ back in August, and she did adjust herself shortly thereafter, so hopefully this is just a blip. If not, I do have a brand-spanking new untapped never been poked before pen waiting in the fridge if need be. Hopefully it won't come down to that, though.

We did have some pre-breffis empty tummy/tummy acid spit up...just a little bit - about the size of a quarter. So that may be behind this yucky AMBG, too. And today was a poop day for sure...she hit the box right before that +3 test. Sometimes she goes up right before poop if she's "behind schedule" (which she may or may not have been...DH does the boxes so I don't know for sure about that one - I'll have to ask), but usually not up into the yellows! She was hungry this morning....pretty happy appy, but not off-the-charts gluttonous. No problems with the gelcap, and since today was a cerenia day and we had spit up, I gave her her meds about 15 minutes early, just to get the tummy-settling ball rolling - although I'm sure eating helped with that, too, since her tummy was feeling too empty when I first got up.

Ah, I guess things were too calm for too long  !!

Today is supposed to be my Dad's 5th chemo, reschedule from last week due to low platelets. Hopefully they've bounced back and he can go forward with treatment today. Of course having that extra week off makes it REALLY hard to go back to it today....

Gotta get moving....have a great day, LL!

Trixie.....that's something to keep in mind when you think about playing glucose games. Now, little girl, get those AMBG numbers into a less mamabean-worry place. Ya' hear!

Hope all goes well with your dad today. I was the champion of chemo-delay. Almost every other infusion was put on hold. Hmmm? Do I dress for chemo? Do I dress for hiking? My biggest dilemma on those days. I had some flubbity-fludget enzyme issue and didn't process the FU (so appropriately named). At scheduled infusion 10, my doctor came in and said, "You're done. Risk outweighs benefits."

And, the benefits have been pretty darned good!

Marilyn

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

I too did a double take on that amps, but Mr P certainly is on duty. Maybe it was just a case of needing what we all jokingly call the magical poo. I will hope those amps settle for Trixie, as I still think one can consider her an OTJ kitty. I vote for this round of higher than wanted amps to be just a blip(s) on the radar.

Wishing your dad well today, and hope all goes of as planned. it was interesting for me to read Marilyn's account of her experience with it all. My DMIL went through it all years ago, four treatments I believe, anyways - good luck to your dad.

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well.

Trixie, ya did good bringing down that 208. Now, let's stay in the range of a "normal" cat!!

Thinking of your dad today, Amy. I hope he'll be able to have the chemo, because it will be one less to have to do.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Oh, Trixie, it's not nice to scare your Mamabean like that!! I know you haven't been on the yellow floor for a while, so maybe you wanted to see if anything had changed, but now you know it's the same boring place it was before and you don't need to check it out again! Okay? Good girl! cat_pet_icon

Sending good platelet vines, and good chemo vines, too, for your DF. I hope all goes well and you and your DM are able to get that shopping trip in! Remember to leave room in the car for the three of you!

Whew is right. I bet the spit up had something to do with that AMBG. Nice recovery though. Sending tons of good chemo vines for your dad. I missed it last week that he didn't get to go. I hope today was better. ((((Amy))))

Oh Trixie...what is that?!?!?! No need to add to your mama's stress today. geesh! Sending prayers for your dad. Hope things are moving forward and hope he's feeling good.

Yuck is right!!

Good to see Trixie came to her senses and came on back down

Hope she stays there....As much as we all love her, we want her stay at the Falls to be a long one!

Sending more vines for your dear Dad....I'm sure it was tough to go back after a little extra time off, but hopefully they'll get it done, get it over with and he'll do great moving forward.
