Ripley is doing well this morning. She gave me a PDLB (public display of litter boxing, both #1 and #2), allowing me to do a random ketone test (negative :smile: ).
Her appy is so-so ~ she's snacking, so there are treat enhancements in the works. And I just moved her bowl to her rocking chair, where she is resting. Her t/f/s table is right next to her rocker, but I may be creating an even more spoiled girl by serving her "breffis in bed" ;-) :lol: . Oh well. She's eating and that's what's important :razz: .

Thanks for the visits last night, Wendy and Mariko. :-D You're both right: having a urinalysis done will at least give me peace of mind (peace of mind? what does that feel like?? :lol: ). I'll call her vet today to see about squeezing her in this afternoon. :smile:

Very nice start for Miss Ripley! Did you guys get to the vetty today? Yes, having an answer will definitely give you peace of mind. My Frankie has decided she likes breffis in bed, too. These kitties...what a life!!!

Ripley is doing well this afternoon & evening.
She had some urine drawn this afternoon, and I'll find out the results tomorrow.
If bacteria is present, I'll have the vet do a culture & sensitivity test, and we'll begin AB treatment.
If there isn't a sign of infection, then I'll up her dose as necessary to help bring her numbers down a little.
She did great at the vet ~ as great as an unhappy kitty can do ;-) .
Her numbers have been looking good, but I would like to see lower nadirs; she's had them before, so I know they can be a little better.
I'm such a perfectionist mamabean: "You're doing great, but I know you can do better..." :lol: :lol: :lol:

I'm going to look into adding D-Mannose to her food each day (cranberry extract for uti-proned kitties ~ safe for kidneys and FD). That will be a question for the vet tomorrow (or for fellow LL-ers, if the vet doesn't know about it...).

Despite the vetty visit, Ripley is acting content tonight. She received her fluids without any complaining :-D and has a nice appy :-D .

Just when I think I'm seeing a pattern... then she throws me a curveball...

She ate about half of her dinner, and has been sleeping since t/f/s.
I just offered some food to her on her rocker, but there's no interest. She's usually snacking by +3.

Ripley!!!! Please please feel better and eat! LBG and her brudders are saying extra prayers that you will be fine.

You and I are like those parents that make beauty pageant queens out of their little girls :lol: :lol: :lol: you, too, my little darling, can be an FD overachiever :lol:

I hope she feels better soon and no UTI.

Hi Josie -

Looking good today Ripley, except for maybe that +3. What's up with that? Well, she'll come down, she always does. I hope too that all is well, no UTI.
