Yesterday Neko started working her new juice and gave me a lot of blue. Today we bounce. ohmygod_smile

10/27 Recap:
AMPS 186 +7.5 205 +10 178
PMPS 141 +4 125 +9 163
Too much pink lately - and her liver gets used to higher numbers way too quickly. :YMSIGH: Other than being a bit quiet, Neko seemed fine this morning. She wanted out after breffs, which was surprising because it was pouring rain (remnants of tropical storm Ana). She was out for just a couple minutes and mostly in the carport so didn't get wet. I saw action over at nanner central after second breffs and she even went out to the solarium where the sound of rain is pretty loud. There's a bit of wind too and a neighbour has some chain saw and tree chipper noises going. Brave girl. She's now in her little bed by my feet. Purring has been good, she purred through acupressure again.

Re: 10/28 Neko AMPS 151 +6 368 Sigh!

i was always amazed how quickly punkin's body forgot what normal numbers were. you wouldn't think it happens so quickly, but it sure seems to!

we've got your same storm - so blustery with both wind and rain. today it hasn't rained too much, but it's supposed to be stormy for the next several days.

fingers crossed that neko comes down soon! nothing to see up there, little girl! cat_pet_icon

@Sarah, Julie - Thanks for pointing Neko in the right direction. Now she's screaming down the other way. The question is, will this be her nadir or will she go later today? She could go either way. It's still pouring down here. Our wind is on and off, it depends where you are. If I look at the cove webcam, the water is completely flat because the mountains protect us on many sides. Forecast says maybe a bit of sunshine tomorrow. For the kitties sake, I hope so.

What an interesting rainbow of a cycle for Miss Neko! Pssst Neko, a little green would make that rainbow much prettier! :-D Okay I have a question: you say that Neko's liver forgets what normal numbers feel like very quickly- and yet, for the most part as long as I have viewed Neko's SS, her numbers always seemed to remain in close to normal numbers?? This is maybe the first time I've seen Neko hit pink in quite awhile? I am just wondering here, is this really a bounce? Or is it a reaction maybe to insulin that wasn't as potent, and now that you changed pens, a little NDW? Don't mind me, I Just trying to drive myself crazy overthinking things...

Hope you had a nicer weather pattern today-the rain stopped fro about an hour, so I could get my walk in at least, but I didn't dare let Tiger out, way too cold...

Re: 10/28 Neko AMPS 151 PMPS 207

She drifted down some more, but it looks like momma might get more sleep tonight. We'll see what the before bed test says. Neko was pestering me for food an hour before PMPS time. Might have been something to do with me baking bread pudding and working with two of her favorite food groups, butter and bread. I swear she has butter radar. Every time I get it out of the fridge, Neko is right there.

@Carla, Ruth - Still not sure where she'll go next, but she was slowing down a lot. Might have been a glimpse of blue in there before the PMPS if I'd bothered to test then. Ruth - I'm not sure yet why Neko drifted so much into the pink/yellow zone lately. It could be the cartridge going off, or it could be that for some reason she just decided she needed more juice - or both. This time last year she needed to go up in dose. I switched the cartridge first to eliminate that as a possible problem, and that does seem to be part of it. The why the sudden pink doesn't really matter to me, I'll just adjust to dose to bring her back into good numbers. I lie, it matters a bit. If it's because there's something medical underlying it, then I'd get her checked out. But she's otherwise acting pretty normal. I try not to delay too long on upping her dose, cause it seems like glucose toxicity sets in pretty quickly for Neko.

Re: 10/28 Neko AMPS 151 PMPS 207

Hi Wendy! Their livers do seem to forget pretty quickly. I am noticing that with Billie now. I hope Neko gets back on track soon!

Billie has butter radar too!! Whenever it comes out of the fridge, she comes running in demanding butter. I used to give her some, but I can't since her allergies flared up. She also likes bread...I once left my grandmother's lemon poppyseed bread on the table thinking that no cat would be interested in such a thing...bad move on my part! That was a few years before FD though.

Have a nice night!
