Good morning!

I'm sure that a lot of people have similar experience, but this morning, just as I was about to poke her ear, she moved towards the lancet and nicked the edge of the ear herself.
Boy, it bled
I don't think she felt it but she didn't like it as I had to keep squeezing her ear to make sure bleeding stopped.

It's always something But it's Saturday at least!

Sometimes I can't get any blood, and other times I have enough for 3 tests!! It happens Kit, she'll be fine!!

I just checked her ear and it looked fine! Whew!
Mikan dipped quite a bit in 2 hours. Let's see if she keeps going, or will now stay around - with this girl, I can't never know!

She came down nicely at +2 - hope she's getting used to the lower BGs!

Kit is a fan of waiting until the lancet is in her ear and then jerking her head. Her ear is always fine, so far, but I definitely have enough blood for several tests in that moment.

Jack is the same....sometimes too much, sometimes not enough, sometimes he does it himself by moving, sometimes the kittens get upset and get in the way so I can't get a reading ....CATS....nice to see some blue Mikan

It's frustrating when I don't get enough blood but I feel terrible when I draw too much
Oh gosh, I hurt her! but then Mikan is totally okay. Tough girl.
Later I saw a bit of a crusty thing and Had to wipe that off though.

She started out strange (down at +2 then slight up after that) but looks like now coming down again.
Mikan's usually pretty chill when I test her, but something startled her this morning. Gosh I felt bad! Poor girl but I was more traumatized than she was.
In fact, she was totally fine, just happy to get some treats!

Thanks Diane! Other than the bloody mess, it turned out to be a nice cycle, even though it was strange that BGs went up a bit from +2 to +4.
Hope she can keep up with this pace!

Ouch! I know, that little lancet can hurt!
She bled but Mikan looked unfazed. It must not have hurt her much. Whew!
