Good morning everyone! We are yellow this morning - a tiny little bounce for the manster. That statement causes me immense amazement - it wasn't that long ago the bouncing for Mannie meant high pinks, mid reds. How far he has come. Mannie had a very nice day yesterday - blue ps numbers, greens mid cycle. No complaints! It was a great day for Mannie. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Normalcy this morning! :-D :-D Mannie is such a creature of habit - the routine runs all in the morning. Breffis #1 and #2 eaten with gusto - tried a new brand for Mannie: SophistaCat turkey and giblets - 0 carbs! Huge success there too - I swear he will eat anything. Auto feeder used again (yep - i think he finally has it figured out!!). He's napping after completing all morning missions, and once again the nanners are wet slobbery and smothered under a mountain of Mannie fur. :cool:

Morning Michelle!! Well, not sucj a bad bounce--Moonie was 260 this am...One thing about FD it's always unpredictable!!
We had an almost coffee klatsch last nite, fortunately we were both able to go to sleep :lol: :lol: :lol:

Good start for Mannie....not so bad of a bounce....maybe, just maybe..........you know, Mr. L is getting the message....but shhhhhhhhh, don't want him to know what we are thinking!

Halloween party....wow, Iz been sleeping for a while and didn't realize we'z gonna have a party!!! Kewl. Hey Mannie, we need to come up with a good skerry menu for dis ting, right?? Lemme tink about it...., oh, Moonie, a song would be wunnerful!!............Spot

Hey Roni! that we did, I had the ~O) pot ready, popcorn ready - but alas they foiled our plans. Probably a good thing - the normal bed time was appreciated. Moonie and Mannie must have been on the same page yesterday.

Hi Deb! i know.... never let the internal organs know that we are on to them, well sort of on to them. maybe just maybe..... his are starting to like how they feel. WOOT!

Moonie! yes yes yes... i am thinking menu - we need some scary stuff, and some fun stuff, and some normal stuff... and some remember stuff for all the GA kitties that will be so close to us on Halloween. This will be one huge menu. YAY! I think it is a grand idea to do a tribute to all those gone before: the veil is very thin that night, and i know they will all be with us. oh this will be so grand. I got the bus! My uncle says the band does not need it so we can have it - it is so cool, and can get us anywhere! it's got bunk beds, and grillin' stuff, and everything. Michelle...Mannie's numbers are so awesome lately. YOu've been working so hard to get here and it's just great. Even his bounces aren't bad!! Hope you stay warm today. Thanks for checking in with us last night...I did the set the alarm, snooze, get up, test, btb, etc.

Hey Mannie...I gots to go to the VETTY today....the easy one who only pets me and makes sure my nutrition is good but still it's the vetty and TOBEY is going, too. I gots to come up with a good Halloween costume...I can't wait for the party....do you needs any quail...we gots SO MANY around here. We could do quail flambe or something like that!!!

Great #'s for Mannie latley! He is doing awesome. The halloween party sounds like a great idea. Sara's going to make icecubes in different colors and spike them with catnip. She can't wait to see all her friends.

Hi Michelle, No hike again today? Nothing much going on here, either (still re-living yesterday's spectacular hike). Our "Indian Summer" lasted 2 days, but now we're back to fall (almost all the leaves are down here). Our group of friends here is having a "progressive" Halloween potluck party: appetizers at one house, soup and salad at the next, main dishes at the next, dessert at the last. We're all going to wear costumes and walk from one house to the next. I hope it doesn't rain (or snow!) Maybe the kitties could so something like that for their big party.

Hi Ella! No - no hike today - I too am still reliving all the great ones from this past Summer. I had hoped today to go to Skykomish, a very small town near stevens pass to visit, and walk around the town - but heavy rains there today. It is under renovation, due to RR heavy metal soil poisoning from way back. They have had to move entire buildings in order to replace the toxic soil. I would like to go and check it out - very fascinating little town, near a very pretty river. maybe next week! in the mean time I hike the trails by the house - they are short, but nice and woodsy with access to the shoreline. when the tide is low you can walk quite some distance. Leaves are still colorful here, but the rains are relentless.... I LOVE your progressive Halloween - FUN! Do tell: what is your costume? I will mention the progressive dinner to Mannie - he is putting his brain to such work trying to think of fun things. :-D

Miss Ella! How are you? I am feverishly working on our Halloween party. Moonie is too! It was her idea - she has the best! I am so happy to think that Stu will be cooking on one side of the veil, me and the gang on the other - we will be so close! I know he will watch over me, and I over him. Just thinking about it makes me so very happy! I have been able to get my uncle's bands tour bus again - so all us kitties can travel together to our destination(s): it has bunks beds, and grillin stuff, and is very cool. Thank you for your idea - I really like that - we could travel all over the country! ooooo - gotta go now - my bean has one of those pokey thingies. Bye! I LUBS you! ~~ Mannie

Methinks Mannie has something up his little furry paw for his mamabean tonight!!! His numbers today were good...gave you a break 1st cycle even though it wasn't nice enough to get out for a hike. You may be in for a pj party tonight!!

Mannie...thanks but I not sick and don't think I need any KTS but can you get that vetty smell off me? It wasn't bad...they just petted me and held bottles against me. Whas up with that? I'm so glad to be home!! There was a big white drooler with curly hair and a PINKtutu on at the vetty!! No dignity.

Hi Marjorie - could be. He's slow down alot, but I think he'll still make green. +4 ought to be interesting, seeing how the +3 was fed with 4%, not the "good stuff".

Gracie! I will come tonight and help you get ride of the vetty smell. Tess has a really cool spa treatment that does really good on vetty stuff. slidage - I never associate the Manster with that but you've done a good job at coaxing it out of him today. relentless rains - I love it. for me there is no such thing as a dreary day. I love the rain. hope he doesn't keep you up tonight but I sure wouldn't bet any money on that. have a good night Michelle.

Hi Kim! I true on Mannie and a slidage - no his normal choice of events. :-D ah yes on the rains - in all honesty I love them too, truly. I sometimes think it is the other things in our lives that give us the perceptions, not so much the weather. well anyways - i love a good storm, love being so close to the water here where I live- storms and relentless rains are truly magnificent there. Great work tonight Michelle and looks like you'll be able to get some sleepus!!

The nutrition vet does Nutrition Response Testing. She can tell by energy what part of the body is affected and then can place medicine (in bottles) up against
the body to determine if it will help that organ. Some things she can cure...others she can't...like FD. She can only strengthen the pancreas and she gave us
a supplement today that helps control BG and encourage the pancreas to produce insulin. Admittedly, it works best on borderline cases that don't need insulin.
However, it is nasty tasting and I can't figure out how to get it in Gracie...she licked around it in her food and then I tried to dissolve it in water but I tasted it
before I gave it to her and there is NO WAY she'll take it and she's really good about meds. The pill is too big to pill her with and she doesn't like pill pockets.
Anyway...this vet is the one working on her aluminum detoxing and she's just about gotten her totally detoxed. YAY!! (knock on wood). If only I had found her
before the steroids...we might not be here..but then, we wouldn't have met all the LL people and sugarbabies that we treasure.

Sleep tight...hope for better things for Gracie tomorrow for me, Please??

Mannie..thanks for taking me to Tess's so I could get that smell off me....I'm so much better now! See you Friday!

Wow Marjorie - all so very interesting! Good luck getting it into Gracie - I have no solution for you - just can't imagine, short of syringe stuff, and would you really want to do that? I wonder how you can disguise the taste of something that is just plain nasty. :? Good Luck!

aluminum detoxing? steroids? I need to read Gracie's profile more carefully...

And yes - I hope things are better tomorrow for Gracie. Mannie has had these days too - many of them. Give it the requested cycles, and if she doesn't improve, back to the last dose, which seems like it was a good one. It's hard to watch them flatline a pink color - been there too any times. So Gracie - a good day tomorrow, Please?

Thanks, Michelle. I don't know if she'll eat Sophisticat and anything I give her has to be tested through the NRT vet first to make sure it doesn't affect
her bladder since she is almost done with her detox. She doesn't have to go back to the NRT vet for a month altho I could run her over there to test some
foods. She is not difficult to syringe and that's what I was going to do when I tasted it first so that's not an option..I won't torture her over this...she already
has enough torture in her little life :lol: :lol: Shouldn't laugh but what else we gonna do? I know...you are right..if it doesn't clear, go back up but I know you
understand how hard it is to see such high numbers...gosh a week ago I was fighting to keep her from hypoing!! But we aren't the only ones dealing with this scenario.
She acts like she feels great but I worry about how these numbers affect her overall health...can't be good.
