poops! Yay!
As of yesterday, day 3 after the beginning of her GI flare, poops were good again
I really think she may had a flare after the vet visit in that it causes her stress.
She began the flare 3 days after labs last week. Not the first time that has happened.
Itโs really hard since she needs to go to the vet to check labs so often (monthly many times) due to all her ongoing issues (mostly hyperthyroidism)
Her BG has been extremely high for 3 days (300s with no nadirs). I gave a smidge increase yesterday am and last night she finally came down to 200s.
I blood tested with an ear prick yesterday just to make sure Libre wasnโt malfunctioning, but I got a reading in the 300s that was actually exactly the same as the Libre was reading.
I assume that all the stress her body was going through was causing insulin resistance as she recovers from the G.I. flare.
I have never seen her stay in such high numbers like that for three days.
(I was testing urine daily with ketone strips and tests were negative).
Interesting that her drinking and urine levels were not as high as a week ago (before the high BG, before this GI flare).
She did come up and join me in bed around am today. She doesnโt do that when she feels poorly. So thatโs a good sign
Hoping her BG improves and we return to better numbers soon. These GI flares really set her back
Safe surfing

everyone with good eats and poops
