Angel has been OTJ since mid-July. I started giving her insulin again a few days ago, when she tested all night and the next morning between 136 and 144 - but now she's dropping this much on 0.1u so obviously I'm going to either drop her dose down to 0.05u or just see how she does if I stop.
The whole time she's been OTJ (except a few hours one day when she much have mainlined some karo) she has tested in the 70's.
Maybe I should never have even started giving her insulin again. I don't know...
My instincts tell me to shoot anything above 110 and nip in the bud any lazy ideas her pancreas might be having.
Buuuut..... if anyone thinks my instincts might be a little shoot first ask questions later... I can be reasoned with.
Thoughts? Should I drop the dose and give a little more help or am I "helping" unnecessarily?
(edited because I've been one so long I couldn't remember how to link to last condo)
