Yesterday. Caber Yr 2 Day 23

Demolition has started. Yeah!!!!! Every time I hear breaking and cracking and thuds I just cringe thinking they are breaking or damaging my house. Then I have to remember that is what they are here to do.

All cats confined in other rooms. Ollie's amps this morning was so disheartening. I hope some of it is NDW. It was hours before construction started.

YAY for de-construction! I do know it will be a stressful time; I remember clearly from when our ensuite bath was done in the spring.
Ollie, please bring 'er down. How about some purple?

Is Olive eating well ? Ears and teeth OK? Wonder why she goes Pink sometimes.... I can just hope she comes down even with the noise in the house!
Yess for your kitchen !! How long will it take them? Hope you have plenty of "before" pictures; you'll be so happy to compare when everything is done!
Have a beautiful day Paula!

I hope Ollie comes back down and it's just ndw. At least all the kitties are all safely confined, hope the noise doesn't bother them too much.
Have a great day Paula, this will all be over soon!

I gave her an unearned reducie Friday because I could not take her to work Saturday if I had to and then construction started today and I didn't know how much I would be able to test. She was miserable yesterday, so I'm chancing it and bringing her dose back up.

She had a good poop and I think that made her vomit. None of my cats like boxes, but last night Ollie tipped over an empty box and was sleeping in it all evening and probably all night. I made sure she had a couple in her room for the day.

What do you think possessed her? If her dislike of boxes is still in effect...hmm...odd behavior for a box hater huh?

I hope she will be ok during the demo and construction. Luci will send her love of all things cardboard over to Ollie...sez it's ok to sleep in dat wittle box...

Finally!!! It will be so awesome to get this project done! I can’t wait to see the bed product!

Ollie is having a nice slide today! Much better than the start of the day ;)

My new kitchen. The "farmish" look.

You have been working so long and so hard for THAT look Paula!!!

From the other day (I haven't been my normal self, whatever that is, lately), I remember/saw you asking about the Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken. It IS in shreds/pieces, and I chop it up a while in the juices to make it a little more like a pate, but it's not really close. It's 3.9% carbs on a dry matter basis. I looked a lot for the new pate I heard about, but still didn't find a pate that matched our needs. The Chicken Frick A'Zee is 2.7% carbs, and a little more mushed (still pieces), but Tina flat doesn't like it.

Luci wouldn't eat Weruva either - she seemed to like the first pouch I offered...and then I made the mistake of ordering a box of them - she immediately decided she'd never touch another bite of it and demanded her Fancy Feast...

Thankfully I have one cat, out of six, that will eat any kind of food he gets! Nothing has to go to waste that way, even when cats I bought the food for turn their noses up!
I have been quite lucky - Tina has liked the Paw Lickin' Chicken since day one - it comes in small and larger cans. Unfortunately for us, the FF is higher phosphorus.

Ollie licks the juice off, leaves the shreds. I gave it the 1st time last night and thought maybe that's why her glucose shot up.

Wow! That was fast. They did a good job of clean up too. How exciting.

Have you looked at the B.F.F. Play Paté's?

Thank you Lizzie - Oh I was so hopeful, but since I don't feed fish, the chicken choices are over 7% carbs :(

All my cats love Dr. Elsey's clean protein (lower carb than what Tina eats), but the phosphorus is over 1% -- maybe I'm being too picky - her current food is .8% on the phosphorus. She has CKD, but her actual phosphorus level is pretty good.

How's everyone doing after all the ruckus? Glad Ollie found a nice box to hang in. Leo loves boxes, there's two in my living room. :p
