Toby Seems to be doing fine just the high bg, He jumped in bed this morning getting us up. He's better than an alarm clock.
I guess I go up to 12 units tonight. He didn't do much on the 11.5 units maybe 12 will work better. Take care, Peg and Toby

funny how animals have such a strong internal alarm clock! i have a video of punkin begging for food because it was time for dinner, even though he'd had low numbers a few hours earlier and had lots to eat then. we called it the Feed Me Contract. Kitties don't like deviations from their contract! Time to get up, mom!

nice to see Toby moving at the +4 today.

Went up to 12 units tonight. Looks like Toby might of spent a good part of the day in the yellows. Probably won't do much tonight usually when he starts out in the 300's he doesn't go down much. I will monitor tonight and see how we do. If he's still
in the 300's at +3 or 4 I don't have to test again until +10 or 11? Don't know if I'm testing to much or not. Peg and Toby

I have a couple of furry alarm clocks hanging around me right now, telling me it's time for 4:30 snack. Sorry kitties, 15 minutes to go.

Nice touch down to yellow today. :-D Looking at Toby's SS, for the most part, if he's about the same at +3 as he was at preshot, then he doesn't see much action. The only exception was the night of the 18th. But even then, he just went blue not green. I found it really helpful with Levemir to do a test at the same time (before bed test) for a while that I could use as my indicator test. For example, if I always did a +3 test day and night and then compare what that +3 looks like against the preshot for days when she goes low vs. not. Different cats have different rules, but if Neko is about the same at +3/4 as her preshot, then I set an alarm for later. You do have to take care of yourself and get some sleep and learn to save the alarms for the nights when Toby is green.
