Yesterday was a what is becoming a common day (pink to blues), followed by a bounce recovery evening - getting over her greens from the night before.

10/27 Recap:
AMPS 351 +4 274 +7.5 157
PMPS 380 +4 398

And as has become Neko's habit, she climbed to the top of the sugar cliff this morning before diving off (DH's explanation for what happens). My cousin and her 3 year old girl stopped by for a while this morning. DC was going to miss the ferry so stopped in for a visit. Neko was cautious at first. She hovered in the hallway, and even checked out under the bed a bit. Then I decided to make little Maya a peanut butter sandwich as it was lunch time. Time for Neko to be brave. Maya was on Neko's chair in the kitchen (the one in the avatar). Neko hopped up beside her (causing a fright) and wanted that PB sandwich. I had to haul Neko off the chair. Another sign Neko was dropping fast, brave enough to venture beside the 3 yr old for bread and PB. Maya doesn't have kitties at home, but her granny does so she is pretty good around them.

Another drizzly day here, Neko has just been out once, although she did spend a couple of hours in the solarium and her basket. She just finished a good nanner session and had a "discussion" with Theo over sharing the sofa for the mid afternoon nap. Theo lost that whackfest - again.

I'm still working on the grant proposal for our rowing club today, now it's time for the budget.  Not sure how much time I'll have for visiting until I get this thing done.

Neko you need to surf those greens and not bounce so high. I hope she keeps surfing for you.

Oh my, Neko's spending too much time trying to be like Zener. Nice to see a little paddy paw dip in the green lagoon. But, the dive and slide routine is NOT the bean's favorite!

Neko, I can well understand how much you wanted that peanut butter sandwich! If I don't have my peanut butter sandwich every day for lunch, I can't function. I know that you get really good fuds in your house, so stick with them, OK?

Interesting pattern today again. Hang in there, Wendy! Good luck with getting the grant proposal together. That is a tough job! I hope your club will get it.

Have a great weekend,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Wendy - oh wow on the peanut butter sandwich. Neko, you are one brave kitty! Right next to a 3yr old. Mannie is very proud of you. :-D

it's been a very wet day here too. We did get a break for a few hours this afternoon, now it's back with the downpour...

Good luck with the grant proposal!! I so hope that goes well. Wouldn't that be wonderful to secure grant money. YAY! I will think positive thoughts.

Neko's cycle remind me so much of Mannie's when we first started. one big roller coaster. Eventually they do stop bouncing so much. paws crossed that it is sooner than later for Neko.

Have a great evening!

Is Neko wanting the peanut butter or the bread? She's the first cat I've heard of wanting a BG sandwich.
Shadow's odd thing is LeSeur Peas.... loves drinking the juice.

Really Nice Green today, come on Neko... one of these days, you just gotta try staying for a while...

Not a bad end of cycle for Neko. A very respectable PS for her but I am expecting a bounce later. Neko is so much happier at these types of number that that grr_red we saw this morning. Hungry but not ravenous - I don't have to worry about my fingers putting down her dinner dish.

I am still working on that grant budget, it's like trying to shoehorn apples into oranges. Of course you have to use their Excel spreadsheet. They are an outdoor equipment supplier and I don't know why they'd expect outdoor organizations to be spending a lot of money on brochures and other marketing printing costs! There is way too much room on the spreadsheet for stuff we probably spend $10 on and not enough for the expenses we spend thousands of dollars on. I guess I get to be creative!

@Carla - just a green touchdown, but probably a good blue surf today.

@Anne - I do like the slide down, but she does tend to curve back up at the end of her cycles. Nothing nearly as dramatic as Zener can do!

@Ella - Neko gets very anxious about food when she goes "low for her". First time I've ever seen her go for peanut butter, but I have seen her go after bread before. Another weird pattern indeed. I swear she might as well be on Lev for all these late nadirs she does. We are looking for both money and a grant in kind from an outdoor supplies organization and it's the first time we've applied to them. First time I've written a grant for the club but it'll be easier the next time.

@Michelle - I was so impressed at Neko getting close the Maya the 3 year old. She must have been pretty motivated! Very wet here too, but tomorrow is supposed to be sunny. Thanks for the positive thoughts on the grant. Interesting on Neko's cycles looking like Mannies, maybe it's PNW thing? I think Rupert does the too. I would LOVE it if she eased off on the bouncing a bit.

@Rhiannon - there is protein in PB and Neko loves her carbs, so it's a perfect combo for her! Pea juice Shadow? - how odd. Every kitty has their strange food they love. Maybe the peas explains Shadow's love for greens.
