Happy Fursday LL!! Sending our deepest sympathy to Vicky as Gandalf has crossed the Bridge. In the last 13 months that we've been here, I'm not sure I've ever seen a month with so many FD kitties and civvies crossing and it breaks our hearts. We also send our thoughts and prayers to our ailing LL kitties including Leo, Rocket, Jetta, and any others.
So I guess my brilliant idea of a dosecrease to f1.25u to just get her a bit into green wasn't so brilliant after all since she couldn't just tippy-toe into green but had to take the express train. Mike did a great job managing her curve yesterday and was working hard to keep her from going low but she still earned that reduction at +7. Unfortunately, yesterday turned into a pcpcpcpc day/night and we had to break out the karo a couple times which never makes us happy. Since she started lev, we have pretty much been able to control her with 8-10% on low numbers with only the occasional karo when she dipped too low. She just didn't want to respond to much of anything yesterday so I reduced her back to 1.25u last night. I just hope I didn't really mess up her lovely flatness and that she gets back to it again on the 1.25u. Guess I should have put on some blue patience pants and kept her at that dose longer. Live and learn!!!
Our little darling girl is glad for the respite today so she can nap some although she is currently winding herself around my legs and chirping. Guess she's wondering where all that yummy food is from yesterday. She has a vetty visit today....her quarterly visit so we'll be doing bloodwork, urine, checking the teeth really well, and I think I'm going to have the vet run a specFPL just so we have a baseline. For that reason, I have fed her early on today so she'll have fasted for about 6 hours before the test...hope that is enough. Tomorrow we will get back on the new feeding schedule to try and catch those drops around +7. I'm dreading what the vetty visit will do to her BG...it always spikes.
Hope you all have a great day.
