Good to see he is back in yellow. Maybe the bounce is breaking. He likes this dose he is on. Now, if we can just get him some more blues his body may get used to them and he won't bounce as much. Of course, that is wishful thinking. Always hard to tell what they are going to do. Is he still on the p. husk? Do you think that is what is helping him poop? I was never sure if it helped Susie but I was only giving it to her once a day (1/8 tsp).

I took him off the pumpkin temporarily as @Pamela & Amethyst said it constipated her furbabies. I can't really tell a difference when he is on the pumpkin or not. The p. husk is definitely the moving factor here. I dropped him down to 1/16t twice per day mixed in water that is then mixed into his LC canned. @Suzanne & Darcy said her cats wouldn't eat their food with it mixed in. Haven't checked with her lately to see if she's made any changes. I don't think the taste of it is the issue but rather the way it changes the texture of the food, making it sticky and unappealing. The key is to introduce it slowly with first just a few sprinkles so there's no drastic change to the food and work up over time to an effective dose. And if you have to back off it for any reason, add it back slowly when you do reintroduce.

+2 is the measured pace downward I was hoping for. Although @tiffmaxee would probably point out that the downward number could just be meter variance. :p:cool:

Have a great day everyone! Thanks for stopping by.

You have that right! ;) I hope the bounce clears today.

Welp, I shot 6.5 on a PMPS of 171 two nights ago so I shot it again @162 tonight. Meter variance and all. ;) I could do without the all-nighter but will do it if necessary. Had some SB cold brew while I was out earlier so may not be sleeping anyway. :joyful: Stop by for a visit tonight, anyone, everyone, if you are up.

Get a +2. Feed if he is dropping. Just a little. Maybe a small amount. Looks like Bama is coming around to lower numbers. Don't stop testing tonight. Looks like you will have another late night tonight, but that may be an indication that he might be ready for a decrease. Looks like he is finally getting used to some lower numbers. Please, don't listen to me. Let the experts advise you and it you get concerned put that "?" in front of your post.

Thanks, Summer. Wanted to tell you I found one of those bulb squeezer, baby-mucus removing devices at the dollar store the other day that I put in my hypo kit. I can see myself grabbing it in a panic, sucking up a load of honey and depositing it in Bama's hind crevice to bring him up from a hypo-stupor only to ask myself later. "Shouldn't I have put the gloves on first? I didn't actually double dip into that jar of honey, did I?" :woot:

I cut my cats back to 1/16 tsp. And they’ve been eating it now. The 1/8 was too much anyway. It caused a few cats diarrhea.
