Happy Hurricane morning!

NO SCHOOL TODAY!!!!!!! I'm one of those teachers that would prefer to be at school, teaching on days like this...I'm not gonna lie...I really needed this day off. I'm still working today, but in an amongst my laziness. Finishing up our fundraiser stuff, calling in the order, counting more money, and voice lessons from 2-6. We're getting rain bands from Hurricane Sandy, so it's making for a nice and lazy day. Unfortunate side effect from weather & fundraiser stress = massive headache. I went back to bed twice and of course, was joined by my best girl, Shasta...hence the 40 (+4). As soon as I finally got out of bed (for good), she ate some more, so I expect her number to be a bit higher now. Will get a +4.5 in a moment. UPDATE: she is eating right now! Otherwise, she is very purry, lovey, and playful. I heard her in the LB this morning, so I'm sure she's functioning well in that area. Ok, off to get her +4.5.

Sounds like a wonderful morning....uh, except the headache and the 40s.

Really Shasta!!! At least I'm so glad you picked a mommy at home day to go low!! Good girl!!! Sweet girl.

Sorry about your headache Deborah. Canbe the atmosphere low pressure causing it ? We call it a hurricane headache!
Glad to see Shasta's green, congrats on the reducie! Surf a bit higher green Shasta!

Hi Deborah & Shasta! Just wanted to Say Happy Hurricane back to ya!! We are in the Tampa area and getting alot of winds, but it's sunny. We were going to go Grouper fishing yesterday but NOOOOOOOO!!, Sandy ruined those plans!! Good thing tho, as Hoot went down to 38 around 2:30. Just wanted to drop by and meet another Floridian :cool: Hope you headache goes away soon! ;-)

Marje, I'm almost positive that she dipped so low BECAUSE I'm home!!! When mama bean is napping, Shasta is napping and food doesn't matter. When mama bean is home and sitting on the couch, Shasta eats all the time! :-D

Hi Helen, headaches on days off are so poopy!!!!! I definitely get sinus headaches (rainy days make icky headache days) and I get stress headaches (need my chiropractor for an adjustment, too). Oh well. I don't think I'll take a reduction for her 40 today because it really was a result of me napping and her not wanting to leave my side for food. I'll monitor her tonight, but she seems to really only dip that low (lately) when I go back to bed and she joins me.

Ok, voice lessons cancelled. My friend usually drives 2 hours from Coral Springs to teach my kids, but I just don't think it's safe for him to be out on the highway. Now, just time for me to call in my fundraising order!

HI PAM! Happy Hurricane Day! Sorry to hear about the cancelled fishing trip, but glad you were home for Hoot! I'm over here in Brevard County/Space Coast area. We're getting the off and on rain bands/wind gusts and then pretty sunshine! haha! Now that voice lessons are cancelled I have no reason to put on real clothes...except that I'm hungry and need to go to Publix! ugh! Should have done it earlier. Shasta's got the right idea...napping during the current rain band. :YMSIGH:

Hope Hoot does well today and hope the wind isn't too bad...definitely gets the palm frons a flying!!! :lol:

Shasta. You can't forget to eat just cause mamabean is home....But so glad mama caught this low and you are slowly inching your way to safe zone!! Let's keep it slow and steady, oK? :smile:

Sorry to hear about the weather, but what a blessing to get a day off going to school, even though you are still working. Hope the headache gets better. Sometimes I lay on my back on my bed and let my head hang over the edge if I can't get into see the chiro as needed. Helps stretch out the neck.

Thanks Karen for the head hanging tip. I might try that in a few minutes. Headache has gotten a little better, but still hanging around. Actually got dressed in real clothes and went to grocery store...then right back into pj's and snuggled with Shasta on the couch! Caught the weather at just the right time when going to the grocery store...right between rain bands! :razz:

On a side note, if anyone has ever seen the Animal Plant show "My Cat from Hell", you'll know the cat toy that Jackson Galaxy uses with all of the cats to encourage play. It's called Da Bird and I just bought one for Shasta and HOLY COW...she LOVE, LOVE, LOVES it. When we're done playing, I have to hide it in a closed room so that she can't get a hold of it and eat the string, etc.

Hi Debrah, bummer with the headache on your day off from school. I hope your area isn't hit too hard with Hurricane Sandy or Franken something or other, forgot the name. Sending some vines for you to feel better. Wow on that 40 and glad the FF brought Shasta back up to safe numbers. Scritches to Shasta.
